1. I haven't heard of TUBS, what is that one? The Unofficial . .. Bpublic Server? Also, I agree with you on wanting one for each world type. Although the chaos of the creative one would be wild to see, for sure
2. WayBack machine, January 31st, 2025 Copyright © 2016-2023 Anego Studios SIA WayBack machine, March 20th, 2025 Copyright © 2016-2099 Anego Studios SIA I can't seem to check on any in February, they're all blocked by cloudflare Anyways, it happened somewhere between the end of January, and March.
3. Actually you make a great point. Lemme check something
4. It's been this way since about 1.19, when I first noticed that
5. I don't think that's an accurate thing to say, even ignoring the visual-only mods and the mods designed to intentionally make the game harder. Every one plays differently, some people rely on features that others can't live with. For example, It feels off to me when I go on TOPS and I can place a floating dirt block, It's Just Plain Wrong I'm not the best with words "unnatural", or maybe even just "incorrect" might be closer to how I feel.
6. My list is tiny compared to the average player QoL mods: QP's ChiselTools, BetterFirepits, and Auto map Markers. Visual Mods: Plumpkins/Busy Bees, Flour bags, and "It's called a Sconce". Utility: Blacksmith names and Rackable plates. I completely understand the appeal as to why people use mods like CarryOn and that Quarry mod, but they feel too. .. cheaty to me? I'm not sure, I'm just very much a "We Die Like Men" kind of guy, so I "Quarry my blocks by hand like a real man" and "Move my stuff the manual way like a real man".
7. I've always had it as Z for me, and CTRL+Z to throw everything away. And then with Inventory being moved from E to I, that allows the W key to be free on the sides to avoid an incorrect action when trying to panic run. I started that years ago with that other block game, and just kept it up with this one
8. If the large gear spins when you remove the small gear, and and the pulverizer spins for a bit when you add the small gear back, then it sounds like your windmill isn't producing enough power for the pulverizer to operate. Wind rotors need wind to move, and the current wind speeds fluctuate over time. If the wind isn't very strong, you won't get much wind power.
9. You are correct about this Firstly, there are some "Alternatives" I'm going to address. One could argue "Just scroll the other way, from 1 to 10 and then down to 3 lol". Another argument could be "haha just put your torch in your bag and off the hot bar". And the third argument you already mentioned, and that's "Just use the number keys. duh". However, you said a key word that really rings, and that's "Accessibility". Not everyone has 100% perfect movement, and some things are just easier than others. A scroll wheel only requires the movement of one finger, while the number keys require a whole had motion (Who has their hand resting on WARS and all 10 number keys?), as well as the inventory option. Look, I personally hate inventory management with a mouse. I am ALWAYS using the SHIFT key, as well as the number keys, to move items around. The less I travel with the mouse the happier my wrists are. And yet, I wouldn't consider myself disabled; a lot of people have it worse. Not only that, but some people have it rough enough to have special devices that mimic a standard QWERTY board and 3 button mouse. Now, I do know this game's dev team is small, and doesn't have a budget to hire on a person focused on accessibility gameplay. But, I do agree with your point, in that scrolling through your hotbar shouldn't instantly put out your torch; If that's the case, then opening your inventory whilst underwater should also put your torches out, as you're opening those bags underwater. And any powders should dissolve away in the water, like ground salt, or flour turning into raw dough. Same logic. There should be a small grace timer whilst scrolling through your hotbar.
10. That was my same thought as well, when I first saw them Especially with how Derail Valley colors them, in that rusted way. I would also like to say, in regards to that the large thing in the middle of the main room, that for the longest time, I thought it was a sleeping creature, and in a later chapter we would be fighting an insanely large beast. There were a few times in 1.18 and 1.19 that I could see the spokes on the side move slightly, as if it were breathing ever so gently. 1.20 seems to have stilled it, I no longer see them move
11. September 22, 2020, I bought this game because of Paul Soares Jr, and I haven't stopped playing since. Watched the first episode right at release, said "Next paycheck I'm buying this" and followed through on that.
12. There is It's not much, but you can take damage if the hail is large enough
13. Two things about crops and time: - Crop speed growth is based on months, not days. Flax takes about two months to grow, so on a 3-day month world, that's 6 days. On a 30 day month world, like how I play, that's 60 days. - The longer a crop takes to mature, the more it yields (Citation needed, someone on the forum told me this and I haven't tested it myself). On my 30 day month world, my 32-seed Rye farm gives me about 10+ stacks of grain, more than enough to last through a long winter. I'm gonna recommend doing 3-day months. You have about 6 in-game days to get your crops planted or else you're screwed for winter. Every minute you spend on your world is valuable, there is zero time for idling.
14. The way you have it covered in the photo is perfect, I'm not sure why it won't complete for you. The only thing I can think of, is that they bugged out from the rain, and they're unlit despite showing lit. Point your cursor at one, and see if on the info bar, it says "LIT" or "UNLIT". There is a possibility that they are unlit, but the game is stuck on the lit animation. The default keybind to toggle the info hud is CTRL+B If you weren't in the early game, I would suggest trying to put it out with a bucket of water and trying again.
15. I will second this statement. All ores have different "numbers" for their percentages, and Decent is the lowest I will start searching for any specific ore.
16. It's been this way since I started in 1.13 If it is, then it's been around for years
17. So it seems it has, at least for newer worlds. On my 1.20.9 save that was created in 1.18.0, I can easily access all those ledges in the Eidolon world, by flying up to them. However, I just created a fresh, random-seed 1.20.9 world, and there is an invisible barrier to those ledges. They're there whilst the Eidolon is alive, and also while he's dead. They're also double sided, so one can't fall off the ledges. I didn't complete this Resonate Archives, merely broke through the wall above the Library door.
18. Yes, the machine (named Immobilized Eidolon) will be fixed, and ready to attack again. The puzzles will also be reset, so you would have to hunt for those parts again.
19. That's actually how I got through my very first RA run; Dude pound-slammed the ground and threw me on a ledge, and whilst exploring I found that it lead me straight into the library That was 1.18.0, right as the RA was released, so I can't verify if this is still possible.
20. You and me both This has annoyed me for many a years; maybe one day we'll get a full rotation update
21. Yes, they are exclusive only to the library Yes* *In a normal, unmodified save, you won't be able to get new books in the library. You can however regenerate the Resonate Archives with the /wgen command {WIKI}. This WILL reset the whole place, but once you get back to the Library, you can then re-remove the books from the shelf. I would recommend doing it whilst inside the Library; that way you don't need to refight the Eidolon.
22. That's how it be sometimes I've been there myself
23. If you're talking about the repeating room, there's no lore to those stones specifically, but there is lore about why that room is the way it is. (And I've currently forgotten the exact reason sorry)
24. There is no such thing as a stupid question You use your crouch key (Default on a QWERTY keyboard is Left Shift) to move down, and your jump key (default is Space) to move up. If that isn't working for you, then you may need to look at your keybinds. Edit: Something to note, the ladder has a hit box. If you have a ladder in a 1x1 hole, you may need to move about to get your character down into the hole. THAT can be a bit finicky, and I recommend keeping a 1x1 hole ladder recessed by one block to help with that
25. That's the trouble with forums Photos cost money. Hosting files is expensive. Sites like Twitter and Tumblr have massively high server costs, due to the billions of photos being hosted on there. And for a small game like this, hosting an infinite amount of photos is just not feasible. I'm (pleasantly) surprised that they allow users to host a few images on their forum itself; that feature may leave as the forum gets busier. This forum doesn't have a direct option for one at the top of the edit screen, and I'm not sure if there's support for a typical [img] link insert, unless this works -> You could always paste an image and ask other to click on it (which feels as sketchy as it sounds), but otherwise there isn't a direct way to share external photos. In order to prevent massive and constant web traffic, web browsers have a TEMP folder where it stores temporary web files; pages, images, text, and some other stuff. Which means, when you delete your VS Forum's image stash, any computer that saw those images in prior still have it saved in the web browser's cache files; that's why you still saw those images for a bit, they were still cache'd.
