  1. i was so close to getting my 1st pumpkins and now they are all gone.
  2. i was cutting grass near my pumpkins and killed all of them with the scythe!!! please make it so things like the pumpkin vines are immune to the scythe. at least either add a new crop exclusion mode or just a harvest and not destroy the vines setting!!!!
  3. as far as i know its safe to break the withered vines cuz they don't function anymore. i don't think it matters when as long as it says withered it is fine to break them. but i am not 100% sure since i am doing pumpkin stuff too and still figuring it out as well and MY months are at 30 DAYS so i got to wait a LONG time for my stuff to even grow. so maybe test it on 1 vine to be safe. if it continues to grow ok then you are fine.
  4. i did a greenhouse with 4 pumpkins in a 7x7 grid and it fit.(or example i put a single pumpkin in a 7x7 grid next to a second 7x7 grid then another pair below it.) anything else and it won't fit in a greenhouse and get the EFFECT. the INNER DIMENSIONS of the greenhouse can at max be 14x14x? i only did HEIGHT of like 7-8 blocks but an OUTER WIDTH and LENGTH of 16x16. this way the greenhouse effect still activates. i also HOED all the blocks and put 4 water blocks PER pumpkin plot.
  5. trying to cut back a bit on the mods a little bit cuz my laptops pretty shite. but thanks for the mod tip. i may still try it anyways just for the hell of it.
  6. just gonna say right here i hate typing both cuz i am crap at it and cuz i got carpal tunnel/ arthritis issues but i love this game so the fact i am WILLING to type all this stuff is seriously saying something about how much i adore this game. so just saying keep up the good work and i hope to see things like these in the game at some point in the future.
  7. there have been many a time where i go to make wine or just juice and i cannot make a full 50 liters barrel with 1 berry type. so i was thinking how about making fruit punch or maybe even a fruit punch type wine. even if we can only mix 2 types together if we can mix berries in the barrel at at least 1 liter increments then it would do several things. 1. allow us to waste less berries to rot when we don't have enough for a full barrel. thus saving space for other things in the cellar. 2. give us more variety in the drinks in the game. great for parties/banquets/special gatherings/royal coronations. basically any celebration would have a more "fancy" feel to it with more unique liquers. 3. it just feels like a thing that people would try to do if bored and wanting to experiment with stuff. i most definitely do this a lot if it was an option. i got WAY to much cranberry wine already. last count i got like 9 barrels of cranberry wine. but 1-2 of any of the other types cuz so freaking many cranberries!!! cranberries would be a good base for all of the fruit punch wine mixes due to how easy to get them it is. 4. also PLEASE give up horizontal stackable barrels! being able to do that would be so freaking cool and authentic looking with a little spigot thingy on the end of it! great for the tavern vibe role players might be seeking. it would also give us a new chisel or knife recipe to make that spigot or it could be made with metal. although i would prefer the would cuz easier to access. similar to how we get the panning bowl you just put it in the grid with the wood of choice. maybe make to halves and glue together. its just an idea i thought of at the end.
  8. LadyWYT is the reason for the dragonfruit/agave/yucca plants added. all really good additions to this post.
  9. "It depends...they can get pretty big in the right conditions." hence why i said to have them in a patch like we do for pumpkins. that way they are sort of contained in a fenced off area. also yes to ALL of the other plants you mentioned. i will add them to the list up there and REF you for them.
  10. i found this on the internet and thought it would be cool in the game!!! Is prickly pear safe to eat? Yes, you can eat the entire prickly pear cactus (Opuntia), including both the bright red/green fruits (tunas) and the flat pads (nopales). The fruit is sweet, tasting like a mix of raspberry and melon, while the pads taste like tangy green beans. Crucially, you must remove the tiny, hair-like spines (glochids) from both parts before consuming to avoid mouth and skin irritation. Opuntia species are the most cold-tolerant of the lowland cacti. good for some extra food into the early cold times while stuff is dying from low temps this can give some edibles for a bit longer. having another edible cactus would be nice to add to our gardens. they also have flowers too so can also at times feed the bees. i would suggest that we have some type of LEATHER or HIDE GLOVES to harvest these cuz they got spines and cannot be just stuffed into the mouth as is right from the plant. maybe let us put them in pots to as either cosmetic plants or just cuz it looks cool. they are not super tall i think so less that a sunflower in height. 1 and a half blocks high sounds about right for in game size i believe. that or have it spread like the pumpkin cuz it kinda takes over an area if left alone so a border probably is needed to keep it in check. still it would fit the game well i believe.
  11. i prefer the more realistic stuff in this game. that is why i got VS. the berry stuff however....... that kinda is gonna screw me a bit.
  12. if they ever do an alchemist or herbalist or apothecary class then they will NEED to add various herbs and things. a dedicated healer class would be nice.
  13. i CURRENTLY use stable version 1.21.6 so nutrients for berries don't matter yet.
  14. i wonder if we will get spice traders?
  15. oh wait it is an herb!!! when do they add that stuff?
  16. i don't know what that plant is.
  17. one day i will have a better pc to play with my friends and do a proper adventure.
  18. i wish we had sausages. we got fat and meat but nothing to put it in so i guess we got to wait for that one. we do have salt but no HERBS or SEASONINGS or SPICES. also those would be great to grow in the clay pot or windowboxes or just in the garden plots as usual.
  19. hope a dev answers. but will take a player if they know wth i need to know. i ain't picky.
  20. hope i get an answer today
  21. i made the fruit tree greenhouse like the wiki said but i want to know some things. 1. can i plant ANY crops near the fruit trees? 2. as long as they are 1-2 blocks away from the base of the trunk will they be fine? 3. or will that be too close and interrupt the leaves growing cycles on the trees as they grow from a started trunk height of 1 log piece? 4. if yes to question and 1 and 2 do the crops gotta be short crops like carrots? or mid sized crops like grains? or tall sized crops like sunflowers? 5.also does the number given for the greenhouse or anything refer to the interior only or does it include the "shell" of the building. as in a measurement of a greenhouse it said a greenhouse of 14X14X14 size fits 5 fruit trees. 1 in each corner and 1 in the center. does that 14X14X14 count the roof/floor/walls or just the air space inside the building? i am just trying to plant as much crap as possible to feed all my animals and me so i don't wanna waste the extra space in the enclosed greenhouse if i can use it for stuff. i play SOLO so i have nobody to ask this stuff too.
  22. it do seem like that but if you don't mind meat you don't REALLY starve unless you suck at the game. now if you wanna roleplay as a vegan peasant then yeah you can just wait for your death LOL.
  23. oh crap i totally forgot about the loom. good idea!!!
