  1. i would love more string alternatives. i personally put up a request for a spinning wheel to be added for wool and other things like that so the silkworm silk would go well with this too!!!
  2. was not thinking about the old fashioned aspect but yeah it does fit the theme of VS very well. also i THINK the silkworms are TECHNICALLY edible too so they also could be a food source. roasted with salt grubs do kinda have a buttery, popcorn-ish flavor. i know from doing this myself. mom was horrified when she found out LOL.
  3. apparently people make jam from mulberries.

    NEW TREES

apparently the honey locust tree has edible seedpods. please add these trees to the game. the pods look kinda like long peapods but with like 10 or more beans in them. the trees are a bit thorny you do have to approach with caution. also comes in a thornless variety too. i got the BELOW INFO from a tree farm site. i like that it has flowers on it too. also maybe add mulberry trees too cuz they are also edible. i had one at my old house. Honey Locust Great nitrogen fixer. Grass and crops reported to be greener at base of the honey locust. The seed pods and beans are reported to be sweet with a high sugar content. Experimenting done in the 1940’s with animal feed report over 250 pounds of pods per tree. Wth 35 trees per acre that equates to 8700 pounds per acre of forage. Compared to approx 2000 pounds of corn per acre, that’s 4 times more animal fodder. The Thornless Honey Locust is a fast-growing tree that thrives in Zones 3 to 9, reaching heights of 30 to 70 feet. Known for its attractive, fern-like foliage and long, flat seed pods, this drought-tolerant tree provides excellent shade and wildlife habitat. It blooms with fragrant greenish-yellow flowers in late spring and prefers well-drained soil in full sun. Suitable for urban landscapes, large gardens, pasture and forests.
  5. i tried to use it but my pc can't handle the unstable builds properly so WE BOTH will need to wait until the update if you wanna hear my actual in person info on how i thought the mod handled. sorry. my pc is just too poo to handle the unstable builds.
  6. that is kinda what i had wanted when i suggested this in the first place. you would throw it using the same set of motions as the Malefator SLING weapon. that or you get a different motion set like its a LASSO then let it fly out to the targeted block/branch/whatever you aim at. hell we could use a LASSO too for wrangling critters.
  7. also i just rechecked the wiki. yeah it says 4 portions for the chickens. i didn't see this page so i went from the animals pages for my stuff. so yeah close enough for me. thanks dude.
  8. we NEED animal traders. hopefully in a future update we get them. i spent 3 FREAKING MONTHS trying to get a female hare. got it yesterday AFTER it ate 5 carrots from the dang basket traps and NOT get caught!!!!
  9. please help!!! i am playing solo cuz my pc is crap so i got NOBODY to ask in game for help!!!
  10. how much does a chicken need to eat before it can mate? the wiki don't say. please update it. also where the heck do i find sheep and muskox? i can't find them anywhere!!!!!!!! i got chickens/hares/goats/pigs but no sheep/muskox
  11. yeah the music needs a better slider for it. its beautiful but too dang loud at times.
  12. all these are great ideas. i can see us storing green wood for winter use. let it dry out during the summer or just in a room with a contained fire in it. sorta like the coal making process but not airtight and with a 1 block gap from the wood so it don't catch fire. we want it dry not burnt.
  13. so for like gunpowder and ore maybe a more triangle shaped pile while the flat topped pile stays for the food stuff? a small change but at a glance it would still help clear up mistakes.
  14. yes to all of this PLEASE!!!!
  15. i agree to both the fuel and greenhouse ideas. also 10 degree would be a bit more useful.
  16. i watched the video and it looks really good. i can't wait to try it out later.
  17. also yes from the pic you posted i do think it does look better with the rope in the loop on the bottom.
  18. i am currently using the 1.21.6 stable version so i don't think i can use the mod as of right now. so right now i am putting it in my follows. i will see about trying it soon if i get the chance.
  19. plus with the resin and gear system we got it should not be to hard to make it manual OR powered. should cost little to craft too. mostly wood and resin. maybe some glue and nails+strips. though skipping the nails+strips would make it WAY cheaper since no need for metal.
  20. will there EVER be a wool mechanic in VS? cuz we got all kinds of sheep and goats and we got shears so why not snip the wool off and use it to make clothes BEFORE we harvest the animals? we WOULD need a spinning wheel be to be fair you guys added a TAILOR class so it would fit right in in this game too. it would give us an alternative to flax as well as provide more string for whatever the frick we need string for.
  21. maybe a smaller shaft with a loop for the rope to attach to the bottom might be better looking. just a thought like eye of a needle.
  22. yes a mouse.
  23. yeah if it attaches to a harness to leave hands free.
  24. dang it. i thought a thing i suggested was being added be a game dev. oh well i will still try the mod. thanks for putting in the effort for making this. i know things like these are not easy to make.
  25. are you a modder or a game dev for vintage story?
