Solution: Sidestepping! Functionally the same as a roll. (gives you invincibility frames and locks you into the direction you were walking- maybe hold down arrow keys for direction?) Added benefit, doesn't make you dizzy and keeps the game flowing smoothly. Would need a cooldown though, lol. Or stamina, although I'd make it so stamina only ever appeared when you were locked in combat with another creature

I definitely think we do. If the combat was similar to first person Skyrim with blocking and dual wielding it'd already be a huge improvement. Would we need a roll button? How would that work in first person?? Should they implement it sooner rather than later so they don't have to redo so many mobs, or should they do it at all? What's wrong with Combat in your opinion, how could it be drastically improved?

What Animal Would you most like to see added and why?

When they do add birds, they should update trees to have actual branches similar to the fruit trees so we can see tbem perch! That would be soooo cute. I wanna spy on Bluebirds, Cardinals, chickadees and woodpeckers! -
Just depends how they're implemented I suppose. If there were several "unique" enemies in those "biomes" instead of just one, never-changing enemy, it could help- especially if they didn't spawn in that biome all the time, to lure one into a fall sense of security before their spawn requirements are triggered.. But Eldritch horror sandbox survival is something that HASN'T Been explored very much...could work very well

Wouldn't it be awesome if there were rare-to-find "ruined" biomes where a specific "side-boss" enemy based on different elderitch horrors could be found there? A rusty, dead forest full of corpses, where giant siren and bell based enemies stalk at night, playing dead as simple rubble in the daytime. An oily black ocean, where a mechanical, undead kraken resides deep under. Avoid explosive oil drums! An "ordinary" desert littered suspiciously with bones and corpses, where a siren/giant sandworm hybrid hunts from beneath... A haunted jungle where demon-monkey spirits and a king-kong like enemy must be carefully avoided Lots of options, would spice up the game with optional "do I really want to go through there?" Challenges

And who doesn't love horse breeding and horse races and horse race gambling? Multiplayer servers would love it! Also horse carts/wagons too, I need a more effecient way to pack up my belongings and move -

When they add birdies, I want them to add bird feeders too- so we can attract certain birds around our area and by extension have some sort of control over the little bird songs we hear the most often. I'd make sure to fill up my feeders with a specific seed every day to attract black-capped chickadees or cardinals. Maybe add squirrels and chipmunks as well, to give hawks and owls extra food. Also, because squirrels and chipmunks are awesome....until you start trying to feed birds specifically -

Yessss. Definitely more fish. The salmon population in this game is out of control -

Going frog hunting during rainy days would be very relaxing. I can also imagine hunting in the tropics for poison dart frogs so you can poison your arrow tips. And who doesn't like a good toad here and there? -

We need ducks sooo bad as farm animal additions. I want to hear little quacks in the morning. And go hunting when it becomes duck season specifically -

Prides of lions would be so neat but so scary TwT -
Is this game planning on leaning more into horror elements, or are they planning to keep most of it subtle?
-
The singular animal I most want added right now are mountain lions. I Think it'd be really cool to be quietly stalked in the mountains or even at the edges of them...never knowing you were prey until they pounced. Would definitely spice up the usual "wolf" and "bear" predator loop. And I love big cats!

Why are the only deer I'm seeing female? They don't have any antlers, and I feel bad about killing female deer or babies.

If you started in the snowy tundra, it'd be difficult to survive now- but, if they added ice fishing, walruses and seals for meat, along with the ability to make igloos to protect yourself from the freezing cold. Food would last a good deal longer in the cold to counterbalance the fact you couldnt find or grow crops (without a greenhouse) and maybe when pets get added, you could have huskies to help you hunt and pull you around in a sled. What different gameplay challenge could the hot, arid desert or the tropics pose I wonder

It'd be a neat gameplay loop if you could break clutter without glue, but use glue and other items to manually repair an item back to the state it was. Like a puzzle where you have to fit the pieces into an outline, and stick glue or rope or twine to hold them in place in those areas. (And sand them down for polish or something) A fully refurbished item would work as if it was brand new! Could be a neat hobby for multiplayer servers or such.

The Idea we want is to keep the terror going even for veterans. Unfortunately the terror is rather short lived. The world of vintage story just seems so grounded in realism that the unrealistic parts of it feel like they need some polish to fit. Unfortunately it's a difficult balance, because making enemies hard to cheese while keeping them immersive is a difficult balancing act. Although I suppose it comes down to them desperately needing better AI. If they could climb blocks or fences and phase out of walls or ceilings that are "trapping" them, the horror aspect would be longer lived. #Letdriftersopendoorstheyhavearms

I fail to see why they couldn't polish it up to be more immersive like the rest of the game...?
