Honestly, if all of farming could get a rework so that you could eventually have generations of crops grown with different techniques that grow faster/have higher yield/are more cold resistant/whatever, that would be awesome. You could just include mushrooms with that.

That sounds like a great idea, sort of like what people would make up about the farlands in Minecraft. Might as well make the worldgen get funkier and funkier the farther you travel from spawn.

I think there's an implication as to why they exist, but it's not something you're going to find out without crashing some underground ruins. I hope it all becomes MORE integrated into the game so it feels like less of an afterthought.

I do think it's very weird that standing around for 8 hours will heal you, but sleeping for 8 hours... doesn't? What's the logic there?
This sounds a lot like how most mods "fixed" potion usage in Skyrim. At least in VS you can't pause the game while you heal yourself, but I agree, some more detailed healing would be nice, and the current method is unnecessarily arcade-y. I don't mind that, I just thing immediate healing should be more of a mid to late game feature. I'm sure we could make up some kind of eldritch healing spell or potion or something. -

That's a pretty neat spot. If/when you run out of space on it, you should make another barrow someplace nearby and build on top of that, too. Maybe make a big enclosure for the whole area, something like some native american villages. Might be cool.

Huh? But I am on 1.14.2. I'm using the mod from the link, too.
EDIT: Deleting the file and redownloading it fixed it, for whatever reason. Not sure why, since it had the same name and everything.

Hey, I love this mod. It should be in the base game. But it isn't and for whatever reason, I can't actually smith anything anymore.

If I had to guess, the uninstall removed all the base game content and not the stuff you added in.
This is why you don't go throwing files into your assets folder all willy-nilly. That's how you accidentally break your game. Keep your mods as separate as possible from everything else.

Updated to 1.3.0! This mod now includes More Wooden Paths. I've also added various road edgings and fixed the snow texture not appearing on blocks (I think).
I don't know why there's a visual bug with the corner edge shadows, though. I'll look into that.- 1

Turns out that there might be a way to patch old items so they turn into new ones. Oops. I need to figure out how that works.
In the meantime, open up the chat and type /gamemode 2 to turn your world creative. /gamemode 1 is survival.- 1

No, no, I've added my own roads, but they don't currently have snow and free variants. If I add those variants in, then it would break any of my existing roads since they wouldn't have those variants, right? That's bad. I would prefer it if when someone installed the next version of More Roads, it overwrote the old non-snow roads with the new, snowy roads so people don't have giant swathes of ? blocks going from one village to another.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I meant the roads from my More Roads mod. Currently they're like vanilla roads and don't get snowed on, but I might want to change that.
But given that they're the same shape as vanilla roads and would therefore be hidden in the snow... I'm not totally certain. This seems intentional to me. -

Yeah, it's a byproduct of adding new variants of any item. Happened with wooden paths, happens here. I don't think there's a way around it since the variants are technically entirely separate items.
But the bushmeat pemmican is identical to Rue's aside from that. My attitude when this stuff happens has shifted to 'just turn your world creative for a few minutes and fix it'. Just replace those ? blocks with bushmeat pemmican and you're good to go.
