  1. That looks like a like boss fight arena That is a huge find wink wink
  2. I think it isn't that bad of an idea to explore new horizons as long as it is done moderately and modestely with a good grasp of what the community wants and the dev team wants; basically, good management and planning of time, money and goals. Anyway, I would love if this Adventure mode was set during the time of Jonas and the plague. Something like playing as a Blackguard, defending a settlement or protecting a merchant caravan from drifters or beasts. Or even as a villager from an attacked village creating its own path and reaching an honorable position. Would be very cool to play at the time the lore is set in However if we go along the idea of creating new lore content faster than the main game... I think that wouldn't be as great as it creates a bigger and bigger disparity on how the game modes are treated. One of the most enjoyable aspects of VS is, IMO, waiting for a new lore chapter; if the Adventure mode created the (for example) third chapter before the main game, it would disappointing - because each chapter is a massive wave of new content and story locations - and unfair - because of prioritizing the new mode instead of the main one. Nonetheless, I think it was a great move to announce this new direction and I will be looking forward to it.
  3. Hello, something you could try is quioning. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quoin I am sure there are other techinques, but I like this one.
  4. Yes! I have watched the Guide Series 2 and have been watching his Desert Life videos. I am enjoying his builds very much. I have also been watching Solstin's series Eisenholm, and his boiler obelisk will probably serve as inspiration for my Meteor Obelisk (a monument paying homage to a small meteor that fell in the peninsula).
  5. Currently, the last build I have finished is the Bakery. It stands near the Windmill, for easy access to flour. This building is part of the Rabbit's Den District. I will probably make a sign with the name of this bakery: Rabbit's Bakery. Anyway, this is the front and the back (there is a little back door that leads to the firewood pile and allows for a straight path to the Windmill): This is the inside: And this is me looking out the window enjoying the view: This was the build that took me the longest, because of the acacia wood required. I had to travel south for around 30k blocks and took days. And I had to do it twice, because the first time was only to get ebony...
  6. For my next build, I have the Shed. The Shed is part of the Rabbit's Den District and holds everything that is plants. From seeds to bushes to flowers. It is near the farm field and the Windmill. Eventually there will be a path connecting the Shed to the Windmill. From the front: From the back: I am not sure if it is a bug but my hoe is leaning against the column in the first picture and they are not touching. Usually I can only store tools like that against walls that aren't pushed back. The barrel in the back of the Shed and the vessel are used to make compost and store it. The vessel also holds rot and excess food. It was quite fun to build this, especially since this saw my first chiseled table!
  7. This next build is the Tannery. A remote building due to the smell of the trade. It is located in Oak Shade, a district in my little peninsula. (BTW, the Windmill is located in the Rabbit's Den District and the Forge is in the Craftsman District. My house is in the Shores of Nostalgia, because it is where I started, but will be inevitably vacated after the "castle" is built on Wolf's Peak) This one is quite small, but had the chisel work I liked the most. A picture I took when I was about finished: The Tannery now (front and back): Inside and on the rooftop: This build is equipped with everything you need for making leather. The crates have oak logs and lime in them, there are knives in the tool racks and the vessel has the hides and some leather. I only realized as of posting this, that the redwood planks match really well with the pine logs.
  8. Next on the list is the Forge. It is a work in progress, with at least 2 expansion packs to come. I have mixed feeling about this one, mainly because of the main roof, which looks... odd. But I am proud of the entrance corner I made for it. I really enjoyed decorating the entrance and making the path to it. The path to the forge (the handrail and the lamp-post are my most recent additions) and the entance: Inside: The outside area with the anvil and forges: Beneath the stairs I have placed waaaay too many crates... And, yes, they are all empty. But it fills up that empty space and it actually became quite cosy.
  9. The second build I made was the Windmill, because I needed to grin limestone and also wanted to try making bread. Never actually got to making the bread, but it gave me the idea of making a bakery, which was nice (you can see it in the second picture). Anyway, here is the windmill, which now serves the function of hammering my iron blooms.
  10. My first house was a dirt hut with enough space for a bed, a vessel and firepits. It was removed immediatly after my house was built. The storage is all outside, because I kept procrastinating moving it inside to the basement. At the time of building I was fascinated by walnut and birch wood, so I built it out of that. The basement was supposed to be the storage and leather making area, but it was soon discarded due to new ideas. The front and the back: The inside and the bedroom: And the basement and cellar: While I am proud of this first build, I must admit it has its downsides, because I made space for an attic (wasn't my intention to have one, but the space is there) that is now occupied by unwanted drifters that refuse to pay rent. At night, I hear them having some cult meetings and while it is interesting, I just wish they didn't make so much noise.
  11. I was feeling reminiscent of my first day in this world, and decided to create an identical seed to see the difference. I have to say, it was much bigger than I had imagined. I also thought, why not share it? So here it is. I also want to share each of my builds for you guys to see. Before vs. After I remember cutting more than half of the forest while being concerned about deforestation of this region . Unfortunaly, wolves still spawn around here which sucks . I think the forest floor looks awful when there is no trees or shrubery to cover most of it up. Gotta replace it all with soil, i guess .
