    Bears.

It's because that's a solution anyone can do by just adjusting a couple values, Modded or otherwise. A systemic overhaul of animal behavior as a whole would be a far more effective. Just making bears slower and lose agro quicker doesn't fix the problem of inconsistent and boring interactions. It's a band-aid solution that still leaves systems such as hunting and exploration borked and janky.

So adjusting some values is a better solution than a more immersive system regarding wildlife interactions? Genuinely confused how you could believe that.

    Bears.

Seems like a bandaid solution that a couple of sliders already change. Expanding on animal behaviors and interactions as a whole would be a far better solution.
  4. Rule of thumb for bronze is to "smoke em when you got em" there's no right or wrong choice, just pick what most convenient for you.

    Bears.

I no longer have as much of a problem dealing with bears anymore, but I definitely recognize their shortcomings. The biggest issue is that they're extremely silent, only ever making a noise a few seconds after they begin their chase. If I can hear a fricking raccoon a zipcode away, I should be able to hear a quarter ton bundle of flesh barreling through the thicket! As for their behavior, I've only been able to scare them away with my presence maybe 2 times in my hundreds of hours of playtime. Their hyper aggressive demeanor make them landmines whenever anyone dares to wander into any sort of obscured thicket. I've elected to play malefactor for the majority of my playthroughs. Not just because the resource bonus is just amazing, but because basic exploration has just been such a pain. I used to see bears on the horizon wondering what poor forest creature they were preying on this time, only to realize they were jankily pathing to my location. They are just so exhausting to deal with.
  6. Minecraft is like a malleable ball of clay while Vintage Story is a wood carving. Both are great in their own respective areas, and are enjoyed in completely different ways. I can understand Microsoft hate and not liking new updates, but version control is one of the biggest strengths Minecraft has.
  7. This definitely is just a sapient mass of termites trying to push wood eating agenda on the populace.
  8. Holy hell, how did a misunderstanding turn into so much mud flinging? @OP I'm glad you found a mod that you like! This kind of discourse doesn't usually happen.
  9. Said by someone that's found one too many copper spear heads while panning.
  10. One thing I would really love is wine racks for either storage or as another step for wine fermentation. That would, of course, require glass blowing. But I doubt anyone would be opposed to even more artisanal methods of crafting.
  11. I suggest that we can create sections of any combination of mods so that we don't have to constantly toggle and second guess whenever we load up a separate save! This would certainly be convenient for people playing total conversion mods along with lightly modded or vanilla playthroughs!
  12. Started a modded run not to long ago and just refurbished an old blown up house with a translocator in it. Stamped earth is such a convenient block.
  13. This, and being able to melt nuggets of different variations of the same element together. It's kinda sucks to have an odd number of different types of copper and iron that can't mix for whatever reason.
  14. Well my first suggestion is to install a quarry mod, because that sounds like one hell of an undertaking.
