  1. yo, this looks truly amazing, I feel like you should be proud of yourself for creating such a beautiful building!
  2. Looks fairly well-made for a house that has been done without any metal tools.
  3. I'm pretty sure that all of these builds are buildable without mods (if he didn't use any modded blocks I'm not aware of), although many people (me included) love to use QP's Chisel Tools mod to make chiseling a lot easier.
  4. I wish I was that good at building in this game, that looks truly amazing. That big house with the pier on the last screenshot also looks like it took a lot of effort, well done! I can never get enough of those very detailed buildings, which VS encourages the creative players out there to build.
  5. Small builds like these really come to live with the addition of some chiseling, and you did a great job at doing exactly that.
  6. Support beams can be destroyed with axes. Just hold an axe in your hand and search for the hitbox of the beam, it should be on one end of the beam.
  7. I had this problem before and didn't know what to do. Luckily, someone in the forums knew how to help. I solved this problem through going into Task-Manager and closing all Vintage Story applications, and then just opening the game again. Apparently, some application of Vintage Story was running in the background, which stopped me from opening the world and showing the same red text you got there.
  8. I think the most fascinating thing about this game is the whole process of its creation. From the very raw first playable version to the complex game with the most in-depth mechanics I've ever seen in a video game. This game can very well be described as a pure work of art with so much love and care put into it. Thank you, Tyron, for pursuing your goal of making this game an absolute masterpiece. Also, big thanks to all the other devs and all the active members of this community who make this game feel truly amazing, both through their creative thoughts and fascinating creations. Happy 10th anniversary!
  9. Bullseye is indeed included in Combat Overhaul. Shooting bows and throwing spears is changed. You need to first hold rmb to aim (which will give you the red x you were talking about) and then you will need to click lmb to actually shoot the arrow (or throw the spear)
  10. Ah, yes, that's a newer feature I forgot existed. The door shows the overlay for the beehive kiln which was added in 1.20. Then @BabaTheFool will have to do the same actions on the door as on the stone coffin to show or hide the overlay. Thanks for the correction @Forks!
  11. Then you won't need the stone coffin. Chuck it outta there and throw those piles of wood in!
  12. It is the overlay for building a cementation furnace for steel processing indeed, but why did you build yours out of stone bricks? They need to be built out of refractory bricks to work. It can be activated by holding shift and then pressing right click on the stone coffin, and deactivated by just clicking on the stone coffin again. Second thing: If this is a structure for kilns and not built for steel processing, why do you even have a stone coffin in it?
  13. I just bought Hytale, and it looks like it's gonna be a fascinating game. You said that Vintage Story might lose its interest to some players, but I think it's still something unique with mechanics and a real depth to it. Other survival games focus on other things and themes, which is why all games kinda live along each other and don't just die, as soon as another game within the same genre releases. As LadyWYT already stated, I think VS is in a good state and there's nothing to be worried about. I play many different games and that makes it even better to come back to VS and seeing all the new features implemented since my last play session. With that being said, I think that VS will stay alive, surely not with as many players as Minecraft or Hytale , but it will for sure still be developed by the devs and loved by the community.
  14. I've seen many of those "naked" Oak tress in all my saves, always looks silly when you find those among all the other bushy trees.
  15. Nice, I love to see those performance updates.
