  1. Maple ist one of the brightest woods i know. It's also brighter than birchwood. In the game its a kind of middle dark olive - looks actually more like oak. https://wiki.vintagestory.at/index.php?title=File:Planks-maple.png Comparision images: https://www.realwoodpaper.com/product-category/size/11-x-17/page/3/ Ahorn = maple Birke = birch https://www.theo-schrauben.de/blog/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Holzarten_heimisches_Holz.jpg
  2. In the first "weeks" of the game you have to close your house with dirt... there is only one door available for which you need a saw... What i you add a very simple door made from e.g. 2 x cattail (at middle left/right) + 7 x Stick...? Something like this. Ya need "only" duplicate the actual door and replace the texture https://wholefedhomestead.com/how-to-build-a-rustic-a-garden-gate/
  3. A tent would be nice...made from fabric or leather. With bedroll made from fur. Only two items for complete home with bed. Fire in front for keeping creatures away + coocking. So you can explore the map for days without returning home every night..or for mining-missions. Like me in real live (but without mining )
  4. When using a dish in water to wash sand & co. - the camera shakes with the body. In first person you became sick after several seconds... so i have to change the camera. In 3rd person the camera is still shaking with the dish movement. Can you detach the cameras completly from the head/body when washing? It would make this easier in 1st person cam to aim the corretly block. And makes it a los immersive (i'm not shaking my whole body when moving a dish - only arms are moving).
  5. Is there an topic here or possibility to help with translation? There is a lot of stuff in english or mixed english/german.
  6. Thanks! I coul'd not find a mod yesterday.
  7. Yes.. i saw it later than i can "recycle" these. But it's frustrating when you're a good way from home. When i have enough room i can split the one torch. So the rest is not effected. Or hold it in the left hand..hm. @martinuzz Thanks for the tip with lanterns
  8. Ok.. So it will be maybe fixed in future? I see my hunger going on while sleeping - but not coocking of the food. Thats a bit unfair After almos nine hours of playing yesterday (first time plaing): it is possible to show a clock? to know when it will be dark (when it's couldy/raining you will see it too late) - or while sleeping, to wake up when the day begins. Actually i sleep for second - checking brightness - waking up...and so on. Some games have an selection like "sleep for 1 hour...6 hours...next morning"
  9. Ok..the third time it was waiting in my home for me - at the third day.
  10. I have a problem since two nights...a board just jumped in my house and attacked me. The first time it jumps away a second later afte biting me and swam away unnaturally quickly (my house is surrounded by water). Next night it comes again and bite me to death. Is this a bug or is this a part of the "monsters" they come after 4 days? In between i already saved and loaded the savegame. So the game is "restarted" - if this could be a temporary bug. Second question: how it is possible that it can jump in? i've a wood wall (1 wood block height) - then a 1 wood block "window-line" and wood block again over the "windows".
  11. When you jump in water with burning torch - the whole stack is then "used" (or useless...). Here should only one torch to be damaged. I lost 16 of them and was without light far away from home in the middle of the night
  12. I have put some food on fire at the beginning of the night and go to sleep. In the morning the food was not coocked and the fire temperature started to rise. So the fire (and coocking) is paused when sleeping. I started the game today and don't know this is a feature or a bug..
