  1. Update 5/12/25 Tried to get everyone on Wireguard, however testing before making everyone configs showed that although my wiregaurd tunnel was still connecting I was not getting any internet passthrough. Believing the issue was now being caused by my unbound/pi-hole instance I uninstalled then reinstalled them and took note that every config I made was correct. This didn't fix my issues with vintage story server or wire guard. At this point I just removed Pi-vpn, unbound, and pi-hole from my network completely trying to get the server back up. I factory reset my router and redid port forwarding as well as turning on Upnp for the router, this still did not fix the issues. I have checked windows firewall, the server process does have an exception. The servers Upnp set up correctly and I can see the opened ports on my router, Mikrotik router shows me when/where ports are opened via upnp, still refuses connection. Tried all potential combos of manually set port forwards and upnp set port forwards, still nothing. I do not think that the router ports are the issue. When testing combos of port forwarding I tried to connect with upnp off and no forwarding, this gave me a different not connect message that the connection timed out rather than that the target computer refused connection. Because of this I think that the connection is being made to the server but its being rejected at the host machine for a unknown/yet to be determined reason. Just to reiterate I have reduced the variables to just the server and the router and still with seemingly correct config the connection is rejected by the host machine. Thank you to anyone who can help.
  2. I have been running a server at my home for over 2 months now, I have had no connection issues prior to today, however I hadn't played in two days so 5/9 is last known good connection. The server is running on a dedicated windows machine; port forward was setup correctly and the host machine given a static ip. The only changes since last working connection are the update from 1.20.09 to 1.20.10 and my ISP changed my ip from a 10. to a 108. I use ddns to update my connection address for the players, neither ddns address ore manually entered address allows connection. If I connect to the server via my local ip, but different machine, the connection goes through. Same computer via public ip gives refuse to connect, all remote players also get this message. If anyone knows why this is happening or how to fix it, please let me know. I will be putting my remote players on a wireguard tunnel in the meantime and will update here if that allows connection a temporary fix/more info tomorrow night. If any other info is needed, please also let me know, as far as I can tell everything is configured exactly as outlined for a windows server and the two changes doesn't explain why or how the once good config no longer is. There are no logs server side from the failed connections to give, the 'refused' connections never appear in the terminal. Thank you so much for anyone's time or help!
