I´ve been searching for tin for a lot of time and haven´t found anything. My world has lots of limestone thought. Anyone knowing any tips?

I am not new to the game, but not very experienced. I just wanna know. How do I make a good killbox? And how do I make it drifter-proof? I wanna know a lot of ways to kill them of (preferably without any weapons). Oh and please don´t just answer boiler or hot water or other. I´ve already heard about some designs (just so you know).
