  1. Re: Eggs, I get the tooltip for "crack egg" when I target a bowl or jug with the egg, and it makes an audible cracking sound when I attempt to crack it into one, but it doesn't change the model or provide liquid egg. Re: Broth, you can't make broth from raw ingredients unless they're bones. Vegetables, meat, etc. explicitly require you to part-bake them in order to use them to make broth. It even says so in the handbook: ...and I think that's crazy. There's no reason I can think of to gate broth, one of the oldest technologies known to man, behind a copper anvil. All broths are completely interchangeable with eachother. If I really must pre-roast the meat and vegetables, at least give me more sat or something, since it would taste better. But I think the system as-is is unnecessarily punishing, especially since the only other decent ways to preserve meat are gated by salt(RNG based on whether you can find an ocean/halite) or, again, a copper anvil(meat rack needs planks which needs a saw which needs an anvil). Sure, you can char your meat on the fire and have a crunchy husk that lasts a few more days, but that's kind of messed up when the gate for broth seems so arbitrary. And yes, technically, you can find fire clay without obtaining a copper anvil, but it's heavily RNG based, since it only naturally spawns in bauxite biomes and the only other way to get it is via cracked vessel drops or artisan traders. So unless you get lucky with your RNG, you'll have to craft it, which means you need a quern, which mean you need a chisel, which means you need an anvil, and so on.
  2. Been having a similar problem to Pamela from page 81: I can't seem to crack eggs. I've tried in both a bowl and a jug. The egg will make a cracking sound, but no liquid will be produced, and the "state" of the item will not change (I.E., it doesn't go from a raw egg to a cracked egg). Also, I think it's a little messed up to progression-lock broth behind fire clay. I've made vegetable broth from kitchen scraps before, did not cook them at all beforehand, and it turned out fine. I assume its for some kind of advanced-meal balancing purpose, but it feels pretty awful to sit there and watch a haul of meat rot away because I'm not allowed to boil it into stock. Otherwise, though, great mod! Been having a grand old time with it.
