Greetings! I would like to make a post regarding third party server hosting - and recommended selection. Bisecthosting -- this is the recommendation for anyone unsure which service to choose. Reasons: 1. User Friendly: they have YouTube videos showing how to implement many features into your server using their service. They also have many FAQ questions that you can simply Google and they have answered how to do it. Explaining step by step how to implement using their control panel. 2. Mod Ease: if you want to put mods onto your server, Bisecthosting explains exactly how to do it. They have made sure their service will allow it. 3. Tailored Compatibility: their interface shows you exactly what is going on, in real time; there is no BS. They have actually put the the time to make sure that their service of hosting is completely compatible to Vintage Story. They have obviously tested features and made effort to make sure their customers will be able to access them. Overall: If you want to play modded and do not have a technical grasp or patience to create your own server - use Bisecthosting. Unfortunately, it is one of the more expensive options on the market, but it will be able to provide the service you are expecting... I tried 2 other services before trying bisecthosting; they were cheaper and made a nice pitch of how their hosting was the 'bees knees'... I ended up having to cancel both for different reasons. This is a post so that future people like me don't have to go through the exhausting process to trial and test hosting services. Hopefully this post will provide some answer to the question "which server hosting service should I choose?". 3 Choices: 1. Vintage Story Server - cheap, easy, in-game access, good performance (even if far from eu), no modding. 2. Personal Dedicated Server - free, difficult to create if you are not 'technically aware", modding capable. 3. Third Party Hosting - Use Bisecthosting - expensive, allows modding, Videos / FAQ that will answer and walk through any issues or questions you have. NOTE: If you do decide to use a different hosting service and are having issues with adding mods / world gen / user access. I recommend going on YouTube and searching Bisecthosting Vintage Story tutorials. I am sure a lot of their tips and guides can translate to other services.
