I haven't gotten COMPLETELY engrossed in a game in a long time. I can't stop playing Vintage Story. It's like playing old Minecraft all over again, only it runs better and looks better. If you like survival games and don't mind the block-y Minecraft-y look BUY THIS. The devs and community are super helpful and friendly. Plus the game was built with modding in mind. Be warned though: IT IS ADDICTING.

This game is perfect in everything: great atmosphere, gameplay, optimization. If you like to play Minecraft and you think that something is missing in it - take a look at this game.
The developers know what their game needs and what it should be. Hope this game will grow further and we will receive more and more features.

Amazing game for very good price! Such attention to details. Crafting and cooking has so much details in it, making it more realistic. Yea. Maybe that makes game more grindy, but feels so rewarding if you get past that and see your recource and food supplies gathering in your cellar.

Ich bin dank Juliusvanvern im März 2020 auf das Spiel aufmerksam geworden und seitdem absolut süchtig. Jedes Update bringt neue Features mit sich, es bleibt immer spannend und sowohl als Einzelspieler, als auch im Multiplayer und auf Servern mit anderen Spielern kann man sich echt kreativ austoben,... Das Chiseling/Meißeln ist ein echtes Highlight *-* Man benötigt für das Spiel keinen High-End-Computer, ich selbst spiele auf einem älteren Büro-Laptop... - ich kann wirklich jedem empfehlen es einfach mal zu testen

Purchased and installed the game only to realize the controls are only mouse and keyboard, meaning it is inaccessible to me because of my physical disabilities. I'm very disappointed, the game seems very fun and many of my friends are playing. I hope someday that more control options become available so that myself and other people with disabilities can experience this game as well.

By chance, the game became known by YouTube in Republic of Korea.

When I first saw this game, I thought it was the same as other games that were similar to simple Minecraft, but it can be said that it is a game that makes good use of its own characteristics in the block world established by Minecraft.

You might think it's difficult when you try it, but if the information is in your own language, it's not difficult, rather than other "TerraFirmaCrafts." The kind system stands out. If you want to try this game, I don't think you'll have any regrets about trying it.

However, in the language of a particular country, you have to play in English for reasons such as broken letters, and this may hold you back.

 먼저 이 게임은 테라퍼마보다 친절한 게임입니다. 물론 이 게임의 언어 장벽이나 정보의 장벽으로 인해 초기에는 어려울 수 있습니다. 그러나 도구를 만들기 위해 돌을 깠는 부분에서 무슨 도구를 만들고 싶은지 정하고 그 만들 도구를 만들려면 어떻게 돌을 깎아 내려야 하는지 알려주는 시스템이 있어 원래 아무래도 친화적이다 라는 생각이 듭니다.

또한 게임이 마인크래프트보다 일정 부분에서는 더욱 넓은 자유를 보장합니다. 물론 그렇다고 마인크래프트 대체할 정도는 아니지만 픽셀단위로 블럭을 깎아 집의 모양을 만들고 모형도 만드는 등 건축에 있어서는 더욱 많은 자유도를 보장하면 다른 부분에서도 물론 넓은 자유도를 보장합니다.

이 이외에도 많은 이유가 있지만 그럼 글이 길어지니 마지막 이유 하나를 적자면

유저 친화적인 정책입니다.

이 게임은 흡사 과거 마인크래프트를 보듯 유저 피드백을 면밀히 살피는 게임 정책을 펴고 있습니다. 또한 게임 내에서도 그런 유저 친화적인 면모를 볼 수 있습니다.

물론 한국 게이머들은 정보가 부족하고 게임이 아무래도 어렵기 때문에 해보기 어려울 수 있지만 관심이 있고 위키를 번역하며 플레이 하는게 주된 일상이다 하는 분들은 꼭 한번 플레이 해보시길 권장합니다.

Vintage Story completely exceeded my expectations
It is one of those rare games that does not just entertain you but pulls you in completely
From the first time you step into its world there is this quiet and haunting atmosphere
The sound of wind through the trees the distant calls of creatures and the soft glow of morning light all make it feel alive in a calm and mysterious way

Absolutely addicting. This game is genuinely amazing. Some of the game mechanics are so deep and has more depth than most AAA games.  Solid and amazing. If the combat improves and the lore/vision of the game gets more realized. This game will be special

Amazing game. Grew up with Minecraft, Minecraft is too immature and simple to entertain me in my 20s. Picked this game up, and I've really been enjoying it so far. It's nothing like minecraft, it just has a vaguely similar artstyle. The game offers a very unique survival experience with an interesting lovecraftian horror twist. Excited to see where they take the lore involving the rust world, I just love this game. If you love minecraft and RPG survival games this game is perfect for you.

In short, if you enjoy Minecraft, or similar games, but wish it was more realistic and immersive, this is the game for you. 

For a long time i had been playing Minecraft. Mods, texture packs, shaders, the whole 9 yards. But there were usually still things that i just couldn’t find mods for, like more in-depth smithing, farming, weather, seasons, etc. This game covers most of those, and if it doesn’t there might be a mod for it. Actually found VintageStory through the discord server for the Conquest Reforged MC mod.

But even to compare VS to MC is a misjudgement as they’re less alike than games in other genres i could name.

After pulling the trigger on buying this game, i haven’t had second thoughts on wether or not it was worth it for me. It’s the closest thing to what i had been looking for for a long while.

In addition, if you ever get stuck and don’t know how or what to do, you can find help either on their discord server or wiki, which I’ve taken advantage of a fair amount.

At the time of writing this i have close to 40 hours on my world in 1.17.9, and still feel like there’s so much more I could and want to do, it’s honestly astounding.

I feel like if i tried to write this review to include everything i enjoy about the game, it would be closer to a research paper, or novel, than a review for a game.

Definitly one of my favorite games, will probably bother some friends into trying it out as well. Overall, great game, and looking forward to more content, not just from the devs, but from the modders as well!
