No regrets. Worth it. Each painful second then to minute then to hours. Then days and weeks to months and years. It is worth it. Watching the struggle of your friends is priceless.

Known gift game account and don't know how to gift it to a friend

Initially didn't receive key for over 24hrs, wasn't till submitting report and waiting another many hours to get key directly from Creator. The system they have for key distribution is flawed. Be warned you may have issues.

I want to like this game. It's genuinely pretty, it has interesting and engaging mechanics, it's a lot of fun with friends, the mods list for it is always growing. There's a lot to genuinely like. The vibes are immaculate, the mood of staying in your makeshift house in the middle of nowhere in the middle of a rainstorm, or watching the snow fall is so, so good. I even got it as a gift from a friend, didn't even have to pay money for it.

But I've spent over a fucking year trying to make it work over the internet so I can play with my friends without the hassle of forking over more cash for a server that I have no control over, and I just can't. And just when I did manage to accomplish my goal, I was able to turn on the game and make my server accessible to my friends... for two days. I'm done. I fucking hate this game for the sole reason that the devs will do anything but make a fucking functional system that lets you play with your friends over the internet without any issues, or at least with as few connection-breaking issues as possible.

Look, if you got this far reading into this review? I'm Angry. Obviously, and (I hope) understandably so. Because at the end of the day, I do not give two shits of a fuck about what cool new stuff you've implemented into your game if I can't do what I got the game for, and play with my fucking friends.

And at this point, I am convinced that they will never fix the connection issues, the fact that "only 60% of routers are capable of letting you play with friends", the fact that even if you do everything right and succeed, it might be for a very short time. All because they want to keep making money off of forcing those that can't get around these issues to buy one of their servers. And at this point, I genuinely do not care if that statement is or is not true, because the end result is the same: people can't play with their friends, and they are selling servers while never fixing the connection issues, and the only way for those that can't play with their friends is to pay more money just to be able to do what they bought the game for in the first place.

I do not recommend buying this game, even with the refund policy that they have. Not if you are planning to get it to play with friends, it's a complete gamble as to whether it works or not. It is a waste of money, time and effort until the connection issues are fixed.

I host a modded server and have bought this for at least 3 of my users haha.
Euro is a bit odd for americano's like me, but the game at most ends up being 25$ USD.

If you have the time for creativity, amazing game.
If you just want to have a game with some survival aspects and a story line its on the shorter side, but they're working on it.

Had to buy it for a friend as well, the game itself is amazing but if you want to experience absolute perfection, buy it for a friend

Perfect gift ! 

Most of my friends play VS because of me. It's basically a requirement for the people I'm dating (ENM) to play it with me because it's great for bonding.

Best of all, for every new tribe member we get, my tribe all gather together and chant WOLF BAIT HOO HA HA like the aquarium fish from Finding Nemo.

The warmth and camaraderie this game inspires in us is unmatched. So many tasks take time in ways that are best to delegate that everyone can find their niche. It feels like Old Gen Monster Hunter in how tribal it all feels, with the old hunters teaching the greenhorns the ropes. It fills our hearts with warmth to see the newbies get their throats ripped out by wolves because we've all been there too. That makes them feel more a part of us in turn, to go through these rites of passage.

I can sing no higher praises than this.

Out of 3 purchases it always arrives instantly and we all love the game.
After around 100hours i am yet to face anything negative such as bugs or glitches.
