PhotriusPyrelus Posted May 22, 2023 Report Posted May 22, 2023 Is there a way to repair an install if you foolishly changed or deleted some files without making back ups? Asking for a friend, because I'm certainly not silly enough to do such a thing... <.<;;
Rhyagelle Posted May 22, 2023 Report Posted May 22, 2023 If you mean like server information, mods installed etc etc, you have to copy things/back them up, yes. There's no automatic way of preserving information for a reinstall. You could try "don't delete all information" option when uninstalling (forget the exact wording, but it asks you if you want EVERYTHING gone or just the game itself), but I would play it safe and back up those folders.
Ivan Stamenov Posted May 22, 2023 Report Posted May 22, 2023 If your friend played with the main game files, he/she just needs to get the full installer for the preferred game version from the "Client area" and run it - it will reinstall the game anew without changing anything mods or saves related.

Bummer. I was hoping to avoid doing a full reinstall. Oh well. I'll just have to make sure to back up things next time I mess with them. I mean tell him to do that. Yeah. 1
