PapaDooki
So just started workinhg with bee's and took a skep to a wild hive and let it swarm. good deal now i have captive bee's. build a fenced in area filled it with flowers and have sticks to put skeps on. Straw dummies in the corners to distract angry bee's. so far so good. toss in more skeps and bees all migrate around wonderful. Fast forward a few days and i been doing some work expanding my farm and a trip away to mine and come back and all hives now have orange doors. sweet broke half of them. collected more reeds and replaced them all. Issues start here. the remaining hives are all ready to harvest. no matter what i do they won't swarm so no new bee's. if for some reason i miss swapping skeps and they all go ready to harvest they won't swarm. it's so annoying that my bee's are refusing to swarm. i had one with 120 flowers in range and 8 skeps in range. wouldn't swarm
Thorfinn
I have not yet figured out the circumstances under which they restart the swarm timer. But one thing that will work is to pick up a skep (in a backpack slot) and put it back down. It resets all the timers, and will give you the swarm estimate in one game hour. You lose the honey, yes, but it restarts everything. If you watch closely, and pick the hive that the swarm came from shortly after it swarms, then set it back down, you force that one to swarm sooner than it otherwise would. sushieater
There is an additional cooldown (that's supposed to be 4 days after swarming) in addition to the flower-based swarming time.
