How do you transport water blocks? (v. 1.10)

You previously were able to use wooden buckets to create new water blocks, but that seems to have been patched out. Is there a new way (I'm assuming that's not exploitable for infinite water blocks like the bucket was) to move/create a water block?

It is now sprint + place (shift + right click).

On the reverse side:  I was having trouble removing troublesome water blocks. I discovered, if you place a bucket, watering can, etc., on the water block, it disappears.
