Komissar-bAv
Hello hello, I'm new to the forums so I'm not entirely sure where to bring this up. I've been running my game with a good handful of QoL mods, as well as a few content mods. Some were added before I created my world, and some were added somewhere in between. Surely everybody has dealt with this sort of situation. Anyway, I added a handful of mods since the last time I played (I'm forgetful, so I don't exactly remember which ones they were) and my game has started crashing. I don't know how to read error logs, but from what I can assume from what I could read, it has to do with something in the inventory? My first guess is that the only modded item I am currently carrying is a crossbow, but I'm still getting crashes after I disable the Crossbows mod. I have also attempted to disable everything I thought I had last added, but I'm not having any luck. Spear and Fang
Not familiar with a number of these mods, but yeah it looks like an item renderer is crashing - if I had to guess it would be a mod like fsmlib@0.1.7, rustboundmagic@0.2.5, bullseye@2.5.0, maltiezfirearms@0.3.3 Also I see buzzwords@1.6.0 on your list, which is ONLY for the 1.19 prerelease of Vintage Story (as it says on the Files tab of that mod's page.) You're going to want to be real careful when downloading mods right now, as a number of them will be major version specific (1.18.x, 1.19.x) Edited October 30 by Spear and Fang
Komissar-bAv
Hmm. I disabled all of those mods individually, and then all of them at once. No changes, still crashing. I definitely recall that I had Rustbound Magic, Crossbows, and Firearms already before this issue, I'll have to check if there was a recent update I downloaded that seems to be the culprit. Using 18.15, if it matters.
Komissar-bAv
Did a quick sweep of the most recently acquired/updated mods in my list. Right off the bat, Kemono is 1.19, so that's disabled [it was already force-disabled in the mod manager, so not much difference there] Degraded Buzzwords from the 1.19 version to 1.18.x, no dice on those two. Degraded Crossbows to v0.0.5, and surprisingly this worked! Unsure why, since it was automatically disabled in the mod manager because of a dependency issue, and even manually disabling it did nothing either. But of a shame too, I really wanted to see those crossbow animations, ha.
