Marlim Posted December 28, 2023 Report Posted December 28, 2023 (edited) If you are looking for a server where you can join forces with your friends, interact with other groups, create your own nation, dive into RPG and even participate in some healthy competition The Atlas Civilizations could be a good option! Our world is intentionally smaller to promote closer group interactions along with improvements in world generation. By default, we enable PvP, aiming to provide a unique experience compared to the typical PvE Vintage Story server. Now, you might be wondering if joining our server means immediate danger of being ambushed by other players. Contrary to any stereotypes, rest assured that such incidents have not occurred (at least not yet). We're proud of our respectful and welcoming community, with systems in place to make your journey from the spawn point a little smoother. At The Atlas Civilizations, we believe that Vintage Story is most fun when experienced with a group of friends who can complement each other and collaborate towards a common goal. In our philosophy, this goal could involve the founding of a city, nation, tribe, or civilization, whatever term pleases you. Solo players are also welcome, and some have thrived in this dynamic setting. Roleplay is at the heart of our server. You can build your own city, establish trade networks, build roads connecting multiple settlements, organize events, form alliances, and even wage war if the situation demands it. The choices are yours, but remember that your actions will have consequences, whether good or bad. It's up to you to determine your destiny. Our server recently underwent a reboot and our dedicated team of developers are hard at work leveraging lessons learned from the previous iteration to provide a quality server experience. We are actively engaging our community through polls and accepting suggestions to ensure we are aligned with what our community wants. The project gained significant attention for being one of the few with PvP functionality and adopting the civilizations theme. Mods like Rusty Shell, Firearms, and CivBastions have become notable additions to Atlas. As server interaction progressed, claims were eliminated in favor of a boost system, enhancing the PvP element. Atlas' player count peaked at 24 concurrent players, securing a spot on the main server list and maintaining a consistent number of players online. Civilizations such as Coméria, Ylldrum, Hedgehogs, Atlachan and Daveahr flourished, while some declined early as was the case with Sylvan circle and others persevered until the end. The original development team consisted of a group of inexperienced developers. However, unforeseen circumstances arose within the group, leading the founder to make the difficult decision to restart the server and start again, armed with valuable lessons learned. During this challenging time, some team members have chosen to move on to other projects, and we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors. From creating unique civilizations to fighting each other, adapting to the ambitions of each player, both for those looking for competitive challenges and for those who prefer cooperation, providing an organic and immersive development of the narrative. PvP: For competition lovers, PVP is activated, providing many combat opportunities. From duels to great wars, the world of Atlas is dynamic, where strategy is as important as brute force. Diplomacy: For those who prefer a more peaceful approach, our server offers a welcoming environment rich in cooperation opportunities. With Land Claim disabled, players have the freedom to build and explore without restrictions, creating their own ways to protect their properties and form thriving communities. ⚖ Economy: Atlas seeks to promote a dynamic, “player-driven” economy. Players are encouraged to be creative and explore new trading strategies and depend on each other to obtain desired resources and items. Proposal: The proposal of the new Atlas is to avoid the need for constant moderation and limiting rules, we prefer to work with incentives to promote an organic and free game, allowing each player to find their own path and leave their mark in the world of Atlas. Whether you're a warrior, a trader, or a great builder, there's a place for you in the Atlas. Mods: We seek to maintain the essence of the game, avoiding fantasy elements, while only adding modifications that improve the basic gameplay, without compromising the realism or integrity of the game.
