Crocks

I must be doing something very wrong.  I cooked a meal in the cooking pot, then scooped it out in a bowl.  Then when I'm trying to store it in a crock, I tried right clicking the bowl with the crock in my hand, it picks up the bowl.  I tried shift clicking, it puts the crock down.  I tried doing the same thing on the crock with the bowl in my hand, similar results.  Is this something you can't do, put the meal from the bowl in the crock?  I see that I can go from the cooking pot to crock.

Yeah, once the meal is in a bowl, you can only eat it. It doesn't go back into any other containers.
