Kaeli Posted April 22 Report Share Posted April 22 As the Title Describes it I have only recently acquired VS and i loved it, the struggle to survive and eventually thrive. but as i played i discovered A particular love for Making Drinks and Wines out of left over Berries and the like it got me to thinking.. why Don't i do that IRL? and so a couple weeks later and my pockets lighter i have now got my very own Fruit press + Fermenting kit and have made my Very own cider and plan to make Much more! Thorfinn Posted April 23 Report Share Posted April 23 Nice. Try mead sometime. 3# of honey per gallon, choose a relatively slow yeast for best flavor. Pasteurize in a double boiler or use a sous vide, backsweeten to taste. Or you can skip pasteurizing and age it in the back of the fridge so fermentation doesn't start back up.
