Aztec40k
Hello, thanks for looking into this. Do we have an app similar to this? Its a tool for minecraft called Seedmap that previews your map seed. I googled a bit and searched on the forums, but I couldn't find anything specific. https://www.chunkbase.com/apps/seed-map#seed=-8740141508899711402&platform=java_1_21&dimension=overworld&x=0&z=0&zoom=0.5 Thanks again. Feycat
The problem is that, as I understand it, world generation is based on your settings AND a seed. If you and I used the same seed but with different world settings, we'd get totally different worlds.
Solution Thorfinn Posted October 1 Solution Report Share Posted October 1 It's more than that, @Feycat. The same exact seed, same exact settings result in different locations of ore discs. That's a good thing, IMO. Otherwise we would have streamers who do the same damned thing that happens with Stardew Valley, where they have exact knowledge of which garbage cans to loot, and when in the day, and where the clay deposits are. The surface landforms may be determined by the seed and the game settings, but IME, that's about it. Which is a good thing. BTW, Welcome to the forums, @Aztec40k
