EmperorPingu Posted October 21, 2024 Report Posted October 21, 2024 Spent ages perfecting a particular Custom world setup? You should be able to save that. Yep. Not much else to say other than that. A Skin saver preset option would be nice too. 3
Thorfinn Posted October 22, 2024 Report Posted October 22, 2024 You can. It's just not obvious. Click on the Modify button on the My Worlds page for the world with the settings you want to copy, then click on the "Copy to Clipboard" button across from the Playstyle. 1 2
EmperorPingu Posted October 23, 2024 Author Report Posted October 23, 2024 that isn't obvious in the slightest - thanks for the help! New suggestion: Make it obvious 1 5
Porkbrick Posted October 28, 2024 Report Posted October 28, 2024 Can we tie a mod list to a particular save as well. The more mods I gather the harder it is to remember which ones I have active on different saves. 2

Porkbrick Posted October 29, 2024 Report Posted October 29, 2024 So your guide here is for installing multiple instances of vintage story, and basically dedicating each one to a set list of mods? works for sure, but it sure would be nice if such a mod friendly game could make it easy to pin mods to respective save games and automatically activate or deactivate them based on that.
Thorfinn Posted October 29, 2024 Report Posted October 29, 2024 (edited) They are not instances per se. They are merely a different set of command line switches that you apply to one common instance. I looked into it a while back, and at that time, the Main Menu was off-limits to modders. That's where you would need to put a mod to change command line switches from within a running program. So while you wait for the Devs to consider changing it, you can have something that does what you are asking, if it's a little clunky. Edited October 29, 2024 by Thorfinn
