Trying to figure out how to remove all VS files from my PC entirely.

Something messed up along the way with my mod install and now my essentials and core mods are just non-functional. Reinstalling from the EXE doesnt fix the issue either as the game still acts as if those files exist. Literally cannot load into a game at all. Need to remove everything from my pc and start from scratch with VS.

Uninstall first (uninstaller or add/remove programs)

Assuming you took default paths for install, delete "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Vintagestory"

Your mods and save games will be under the Data folder so I'd rename it instead of delete it "C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\VintagestoryData"

Welcome to the forums, @WillToLive

You probably just have duplicate copies of those files in the base game Mods folder and your player Mods folder.  Should work if you just de-select (EDIT -- click on the blue boxes) the three it could not load.

The easiest way to avoid things like that in the future is to start VS, go to the mod manager, and click on Open Mod Folder to make absolutely sure you drag the mods into the right place. Then click on Reload Mods and you are good to go.

It's probably even easier to do the 1-click install on the ModDB, but I have no personal knowledge of that.

One problem with that is when i disable those 3 mods it just entirely bugs out and the game acts like i disabled the functional ones. At the moment its rather annoying because all vanilla creatures animations are entirely broken.

Then, yeah, what @Krougal said. After following his advice, assuming you still have a desktop shortcut, if you R-Click on it, open file location, did the uninstall properly remove it?

Worst case, search your entire drive(s) for one of those, like VSEssentials.dll. It will probably take quite a while, but that screen says there are at least two copies of those files living on your drive somewhere.

Good luck!

how do i get to the mods manager i try to boot up the game and it crashes.

Just delete the entire folder Vintagestory folder. If you didn't change where it installed then this folder just contains the game files and base game mods. The mods you installed are in another folder which you can delete to remove all mods that have been added. Then you should be able to reinstall fresh with no mods but your save games will still be there.

Although I can't see why a mod would crash the mod manager menu. They should just show up in red or something if they are broken mods.
