Thorfinn Posted December 7, 2024 Report Posted December 7, 2024 Voof. I've heard of issues with some games on the 4xxx series, but not on VS. Since you've been through the performance forum, I'm guessing you have scads of free space on your drive? You don't have a lot of tabs open in your browser, do you? Heck, do you have a browser open at all? Where does your system resource monitor show a bottleneck? Welcome to the forums, @mathryn

Have you got any more suggestions? Is it a steady 25 FPS, or is it choppy/stuttery/laggy? I had some issues when I upgraded my hardware a while back, and it turned out to be some sort of weird issue with Corsair's iCUE software for mice. The easiest way to detect a mouse issue like that is to go into the settings and look at the lagometer(red graph thing), for lack of a better term. If you're getting big spikes whenever you wiggle your mouse around, it's probably a mouse problem.
mathryn Posted December 23, 2024 Author Report Posted December 23, 2024 I found the issue it was using my integrated GPU not actually using the 4070.
Thorfinn Posted December 23, 2024 Report Posted December 23, 2024 That one would have taken me a while to get around to. "Is your monitor plugged into the correct port?" Must be a new machine? Or haven't you been playing any games that tax the integrated GPU? If the latter, what motherboard are you using? That might be worth me looking into for another machine.
