Since me and my sibling came back to our world after the 1.20.9 update, our hunger rate turned to 120%. Thought maybe we somehow set our hunger rate higher instead of lower when creating the world and only now noticed, but after typing /worldconfig playerHungerSpeed 0.5 as a test and rejoining, it's still at 120%

Just wanna know if it's a common bug in this update, and if it can be fixed. (b゜▽゜)b

Just to make sure all the bases are covered first--are you holding anything in the off-hand slot? That will add 20% to the player's hunger rate.

Whaaaaat? Im playing this game for i guess 200+ hours at least at this point and i never noticed that :D And im ALWAYS holding something in my offhand - either a light source or shield. Nice to know and funny you can still learn such things after sooo much time spent playing this magnificent game.

man i forgot i posted this, took me too long to realize the hunger rate on the player stats isn't the same as hunger rate world setting. besides the holding something in the offhand, the hunger was still going down incredibly fast, no matter what the world setting was. but it seems to have fixed itself after the next update

also how does one reply to someone's comment, is it the quote thing? (。・∀・)ノ

also thanks never the less

Clicking quote will quote the entire comment, but you can also just highlight the part you want to quote specifically and click the green "Quote Selection" button that appears. 😁

One other thing worth noting when it comes to hunger rate and keeping your stamina bar full--preparing meals in a cookpot or pies in an oven will keep you full for much longer than eating raw/basic cooked food, especially if it's a meaty dish.

Yes, but... I do not believe they bump the nutrition bars. I could be wrong, but last I checked, eating veggies raised the nutrition bars faster than eating hearty veggie stew.

It likely does, since you'll become hungry again after eating raw/basic foods than you will after eating meals. So you can end up eating more in a shorter amount of time, thus putting more points into nutrition.
