JAGIELSKI Posted February 15, 2025 Report Posted February 15, 2025 Sometimes you don't need (or can't, e.g. due to low availability of axes) cut an entire tree. What if the axes would get a second mode that will always only cut out a single block of wood, regardless if it's in a tree or user-placed. That way the player could have some control over how much of the tool is used. Obviously, as with other tool settings, it would be settable with F.
idiomcritter Posted February 15, 2025 Report Posted February 15, 2025 the way the game is designed at the moment, wanting a single wood block requires nerd poling or laddering to the top of the tree, and chop blocks starting at the top of the tree. thats fine, but an issue arises (for me) i've got a path block that just nicks the corner of a redwood tree and really want to chop 1 block out of the corner of the redwood. as it stands now, I can't, least not that i know of
