Now I would like to buy the family 4 pack, but the description says you get 1 personal and 3 giftable keys. What happens if I buy it already owning the game? Do I get 4 keys to gift or can I only get 3 and the 1 is wasted?

There's no reason you could not get another gmail acct, or I believe there's some way to append a number to your existing email. Something like my-email.1@gmail.com, but it could be with parentheses, too. Been a long time since I read that, and I've never used it.. Check their site for deets. 1

It sounds like you're saying no I can't just buy it with the same email address, but the other guy is saying yes I can.

If you are buying keys under an active account/email, you will receive a gift-able key. If you purchase a key using a new email address, then that email address will take the first key (from the family pack), and assign it to the new email, leaving 3 gift-able keys. Your choice on how you want to handle it in that sense, buy under a completely new email, or use your current account/email. The point has to do with how VS establishes a game account, 1 key per 1 unique email address when it comes to registering. make sense? 2

I'll just buy it with my current email and I should get 4 keys I can give out.
