NyeteyN Posted March 22, 2025 Report Posted March 22, 2025 Not sure if a big or not but I loaded my save and a polar bear spawned in front of me and killed me lol. I'm around 1000 blocks west from the spawn point, so still in the temperate region. Now I have to find a way to kill it. Attached a picture of the stupid bear. 1

It probably spawned up on top of a mountain and came down. Someone can post the spawn code, but I'm pretty sure it's related to the average temperature of the area and on top of the mountain it is low enough. 3

Mountaintops are very cold, and I've seen a polar bear or two chilling around on a glacier or especially tall mountain. It's rare, but it does happen.
NyeteyN Posted April 4, 2025 Author Report Posted April 4, 2025 Yes, you are right. The bear likely spawned on that hill near my base, I'm encountering quite a lot of them. Luckily I've mastered the art of iframes thank to all the Monster Hunting™, the last one I killed was by utilizing only a copper axe. I just found it funny how I loaded the game and found this, I must have missed the bear (or the world/mobs spawn before the player so he walked right in front of me).
