Terse Posted March 23, 2025 Report Posted March 23, 2025 Hey, first time posting, been playing for like a week and love it. Question though: Say I have 6 pieces of meat, and I want to cook a meal. Is it better to have 2 hearty meals or 3 regular meals? What gives the most or does it actually not matter? I have been doing 2x2x2 for "Hearty" instead of 3x3 for regular personally. But, wanted to make sure I am being the most efficient. Thanks!
Thorfinn Posted March 23, 2025 Report Posted March 23, 2025 Depends on when. If the nutrition bar for the primary ingredient still needs to be topped up, the fewer ingredients, the better, as your timer doesn't stall out as long. Once you are mostly topped up, fill as many slots as you can.
LadyWYT Posted March 23, 2025 Report Posted March 23, 2025 I would say three regular meals, so that you can eat the entire meal in one sitting and get the satiety benefits. If you only eat part of the meal, I don't think you get any satiety bonus. That being said, if you're after variety or wanting to make a fruit/protein dish, then the hearty meals are the way to go on that.
Terse Posted March 23, 2025 Author Report Posted March 23, 2025 Ah, I hadn't considered nutrition in the equation. I am usually too busy just trying to fill the bar. Guess I will need to experiment with both satiety and nutrition to determine the better use of my food. I added the expanded foods mod because I wanted to be able to use bushmeat more effectively so at least that is an option now too. 1
