IronGrudge Posted March 29, 2025 Report Posted March 29, 2025 I'm brand new to the game and just reached Iron. I'm remodeling my kitchen currently and I'm wondering how I put water into a custom chiseled sink. I've seen others do it on Youtube but as of 1.20.6 I cannot seem to get it to function. If anyone can share some water functionality wisdom with me, that'd be much appreciated. 1
Maelstrom Posted April 3, 2025 Report Posted April 3, 2025 Have you tried to put the water in the space where the sink will go, then place the chiseled sink in the water block?
Never Jhonsen Posted April 3, 2025 Report Posted April 3, 2025 This is something I do all the time You’ll need to chisel a basin out by over 50% block volume. Once you do that, you should be able to CTRL-CLICK a bucket of water inside it. Do note, you will see the water z-fighting on the side. Me personally, I’ll clean out a block to be 2 voxels wide on the bottom, back, and both sides, leaving the top and front off. I would then put a second block down as the front, and chisel it to only be 2 voxels wide. When I say two voxels, I mean with the 2x2 voxel tool mode on the chisel. If you need me to, then when I get home (at work right now) I can show you my own in-game personal kitchen sink, and I’ll tear it down so you can see what I’m explaining. 2 1 1
NastyFlytrap Posted May 4, 2025 Report Posted May 4, 2025 Not sure but maybe you could leave an empty block in there and build the sink around that in a way to make it look like the water is in the sink, instead of the water being one full block with no voxels in it, and everything being on an adjacent block?
