Glaciers Posted April 4, 2025 Report Posted April 4, 2025 (edited) I build it completely in survival mode. It's really a hard work which cost so many chalk blocks. Till now, I finally finish the main part of it. I can start showing mines, crystals and other collected treasures. Please ignore dirts and samples. I appreciate if you have any suggestions or comments to help me make this building better.  5.26 emergency update I was noticed that only I can see that thumbnails. In others' view, they are broken. I don't know why. Some of the pictures are lost and have to been re-uploaded. Hope it's not too late. Edited May 26, 2025 by Glaciers broken pictures re-upload 20 6 9
DUCATISLO Posted April 4, 2025 Report Posted April 4, 2025 idk if its just me but 1 pixel chiseling just looks off

I tried to use 2x2 or 3x3 before but it started to look rough nearby. And it's hard to make whole building stay harmony, finally I still have to add 1 pixels. Maybe material packs can work with this problem? 1
Grummsh Posted April 6, 2025 Report Posted April 6, 2025 I know Youre building this in survival which still is sooo crazy to me but maybe try to make a dirt "roof" over the structure so You dont have to deal with the snow? 2

I'm now cooking candles. You will see dirt roof above next lobby 1
Glaciers Posted April 9, 2025 Author Report Posted April 9, 2025 (edited) I noticed it's a little dark in last pictures. Reshot in a sunny day, hope it could be better. P2 is the dirt roof I'm making. At the same time, I'm digging chalks for the next 2 lobby. Both of them takes time.I apologize if it makes a sense that updating gets slower.  5.26 update Sadly, alchemy room has taken the place of dirt roof. No place for rebuilding it, but I will remember that it helped me a lot avoiding snows in winter. The other 2 lobbies are for the ores can't been forged, including jewels. The most expensive one is the diamond ore I found in kimberlites. Edited May 26, 2025 by Glaciers 7 1
Glaciers Posted April 16, 2025 Author Report Posted April 16, 2025 (edited) A little scene for next lobby  Edited May 26, 2025 by Glaciers 7 4
Glaciers Posted April 23, 2025 Author Report Posted April 23, 2025 (edited) Since overcoming a chalk hell, new lobbies and secondary gate come. Finally the roughcast of 1F has finished. The next plan is to: 1.Making corridor of 2F 2.Floor and wall painting ( like the sun before), armor stand etc. 3. More mine to fill the lobby 4.Sculptures ( must be another big work )  5.25 update Sculptures are actually big works. Edited May 26, 2025 by Glaciers 2 1
Glaciers Posted April 25, 2025 Author Report Posted April 25, 2025 (edited) Winter is almost gone. A good news is I found kimberlite with diamond ores . These ores will be good exhibits. I even thought they are not exist before yesterday. Â Â Edited May 26, 2025 by Glaciers 4 1
Peanutt Posted April 26, 2025 Report Posted April 26, 2025 this whole museum build is absolutely stunning, the geode exhibit is such a good idea and very well executed  1
Glaciers Posted April 28, 2025 Author Report Posted April 28, 2025 (edited) Making corridor is much faster than I expected. In my design, 2F will be cut into 4 rooms with their topics. The first room is for history, including books and collects from Resornace Achieve. Scholars study them to research the disaster before. They are trying to find a way to fight against rust and stable the tempor. I haven't found enough books from ruins to fill the room. sad.   5.26 update Wallpaper in this room doesn't seems good. I will change it next. Edited May 26, 2025 by Glaciers 3 3
Peanutt Posted April 29, 2025 Report Posted April 29, 2025 i didnt even know half of the clutter shown here was in the game lol  Â

Glaciers Posted May 4, 2025 Author Report Posted May 4, 2025 (edited) Room 2 is for Machines and Alchemy. In Machine part, there're several space for studying ancient machines, while others is for new inventions. Also trophys from Resonarce Achieves and Jonas machines. Maybe a little mess? If you have same opinion, plz tell me. Alchemy... well, seems it exists in our vintage world. I searched some books to make the builds close to our imgaination about Alchemy. Hope it works. These 2 rooms almost cost all my clutters. In my design, Room 3 is for Creatures, and Room 4 is for Astronomy. Now it's time for collecting.   5.26 update Wallpaper still a little strange. I don't know why. Edited May 26, 2025 by Glaciers 3 4
Glaciers Posted May 18, 2025 Author Report Posted May 18, 2025 (edited) When you see this message, I'm making a great trade travel in order to get some wallpapers. I updated the Arch of corridor. It's much more pleasing than before. The roof is also on the way. I don't wanna talk about chalks frequently, but it really costs a lot. Each pillar in the picture takes 16 chalks and 16 sandstones, others cost more. During these days, I already get enough rocks. I will start building new rooms after this travel.  And there's a research —— That buildings which support me to make a big project in survival mode, like my core factory. Maybe you have seen it in Northeast of minimap. Do you want to see them in this topic? Or it would be better to start a new topic? ( It won't slow down this topic)  Edited May 26, 2025 by Glaciers 7
Grummsh Posted May 18, 2025 Report Posted May 18, 2025 Please do show the other "supporting" buildings - might be in this thread imo  1
Glaciers Posted May 20, 2025 Author Report Posted May 20, 2025 (edited) I traded tons of wallpaper. However, when I started to use, I found it so hard for me to combine them Made a wallpapaer update for Machine Room. What's more, here comes a little lady. I followed a MC video to chisel her. I'm studying to bring more npc to this world - like that witches in Halloween Dev blog. Some of them will come from other artworks, some will be my own create. This world could be more lively.   5.26 update All the pictures about museum have re-uploaded. Supportign buildings will been reshoot next. Edited May 26, 2025 by Glaciers 1 1
Glaciers Posted May 20, 2025 Author Report Posted May 20, 2025 (edited) Here's a short introduction about my survival travel. I was luckily born in a Hill with chalks and bauxites. That's nice, but not enough space for farming. So I travel thousands of blocks and finally stopped beside a lake. There's a big plain. Just like everybody did, I built a box, started mining and farming. It's my first home. This building kept being a box for a long time. After building smithy beside it, I decided to make it a warehouse. It's still useful now. 1F and 2F is for storing. -1F is a cellar, I also cook here. Farming is also the topic of this game. These greenhouses can feed much more than 1 player. I tried to make them look like greenhouses in real life, but glasses are transparent after chiseled. I'm seeking for proper materials now. Orchard is also important to me. With so many times playing in game, my orchard has all kinds of fruit trees that can live through winter. Except peaches: it's a bit colder than the temperature that most peach trees can live. So what I can do is to plant, waiting and replant the dead unlucky trees. However, with more and more collecting (especially mines and clutters) , my home was almost full. Steel furnace, klin, windmill...... they are everwhere. Mess, sometimes affect moving. I tried to move mines to a new built smithy, but it's still too small. That is the motivation which drove me to build a big factory. The Core Factory. It should be big enough, and can solve any problem about industry. Edited July 28, 2025 by Glaciers 4
Glaciers Posted May 22, 2025 Author Report Posted May 22, 2025 (edited) Steel is the first part I built. At that time, it couldn't been called a factory - just wall without roof. If you have seen movies about hominid, that is the sense. Some times later, I moved charcoal and coke part beside it. I decided to make it a red-brick factory, Industrial Revolution style. It was in 1.19. The only choice is Bauxite bricks. However, it's actually orange, and its colour is too bright. So I made a rebuild after 1.20 update, turning bauxite to orange bricks. You may noticed the chests in front of factory. They contain the chiseled bauxite bricks. They can't been stack. I dig them by hands, so I don't want to throw them away. While not chiseled, we have so many of them. Mineral processing part is the 2nd finished. To make it better, I used a Mod Millwrith. It provides different styles of Windmills that looks like industrial fans. B I'm satisfied with this design. Of course, with my habit, it should work in vaniila. I will build a small tower if this mod no longer updates. At the same time, mine melting area is done. Here you can see crucible, coal and ingots. Edited July 28, 2025 by Glaciers 2
Glaciers Posted May 22, 2025 Author Report Posted May 22, 2025 (edited) After finishing the ground part and finally finished the roof, it could been called as a true factory. It benifits me a lot. I can work with and take any mineral things in it. But it's not enough. Have you experienced it? After coming home, there are many kinds of items - especially mines and rocks. Running here and there to classify them is so boring. So I started Phase 2 project, the underground floor. On the left of stairs, it's a beehive. We will come back to here. Walking down the stairs, turn left, here is for ceramics. There's an another stair to the burning room of beehive. The pottery can be sent there very fast. Turning right. It's a large space for rocks. Every kinds of rocks are classified here. I can finally empty my backpack conveniently. This part was tranformed from a natural cave. The decoration haven't been finished, because I pay most attention to the museum.  Lime furnacing. You know, I dug tons of chalks. Most of rocks are consumed here. Both the pillar of extorior wall and window frame need it. I'm certain that it will cost many crates to contain chalks without this area.  Dyeing and Sulfer processing. It doesn't really important, because I already have top-tier backpack and warm clothes. But I trust it will be useful. We have more and more powders during updates - sylvite, sulfer, charcoal etc. Chemical may be the future, but who knows? At last, we come to beehive again. It's the underground part of beehive, which burn fuels. It connects the ground - iron furnace part and underground - sulfer processing part & ceramic part. With the connect, moving between these room becomes faster.  At last, you may understand why I call this factory a Core Factory. It processes almost everything in this game about mining. Maybe you have noticed my habits: If a building is built for supporting surviving, it should be effective and conveniet. If possbile, I will make it a bit bigger. Our game is still updating, I want provide enough space to item in the future. I hope this experience could help anyone who wants to integrate functions into 1 building. And, wish you can like it. I'm not very good at English. I apologize if you feel a little curt in my words. Thanks for watching this long note about the supporting buildings! Next I will continue updating the museum! Edited July 28, 2025 by Glaciers 2 1
Glaciers Posted May 22, 2025 Author Report Posted May 22, 2025 That's for support building. In my mind, even heroes have a team. The supporters are necessary for building a large scale building. Now it's time for our main character. I will continue updating the museum. 1
Maelstrom Posted May 22, 2025 Report Posted May 22, 2025 Unrelated note - I noticed that earlier pics removed but have .png suffix.  I suspect that's because you reached the site limit for uploads. You may want to convert pics to .jpg or .jpeg format. Those formats (and others I'm not familiar with) will compress the size so you can upload more pics. 1

I notice the problem. In my page, I can see thumbnails, but can't get original picture. I wonder if everyone could see. Can you see those thumbnails? Forum attchment limit is about 40MB which is too low. I tried to change pictures to .jpg, but they are still big that 40MB can't afford all of them.  I don't know why they set such a low limit.Â
Maelstrom Posted May 23, 2025 Report Posted May 23, 2025 I don't get thumbnails, thus my original comment. 40MB is sufficient. I've got lots of pics posted all over the place. Most of the time those pics are less than 100kb, but rarely more than 250kb. What I mean is save your pic as a .jpg BEFORE uploading to the website or at the least check the size of the pic on your computer before uploading.
