So i finally got around to doing the games story content, the resonance archives, and man i want more. Turns out, theres not (well, double turns out, im dumb, there is), but also turns out, there will be more later. From the last major development news:
New plan:
1.21  Small update to finish 1.20 content and fill in a few game content gaps
1.22  Large update focusing on dejank and Mechanical power
1.23  Large Lore update
1.21, cool,bit of cleanup, i like it. 

1.23, tremendous, thats what i was looking for, 

1.22, i am a mechanical power enjoyer, so i will certainly enjoy new things with that, but dejank? 

What kind of dejank do you think theyll cook? I hope for a better way to get larger animals into pens, maybe big drop cages or something (there are wooden cages on some of the merchants wagons so its not outside of the realm of possibility), and animal leading could certainly use some work, but outside of that, what else is janky? I feel like for the most part the game is pretty solid and not-janky.

Well after playing a few days in 1.20.9, they need to dejank mob spawning.

 

Drifters and friends: Ever since 1.20 either nothing spawns  at night or I have the them spawning in the middle of the day under the rust world portals.

Harvesting Corpses: Is it me or have the hit boxes gotten worse? I tried to harvest a moose and a bear today and it took forever. I couldn't find the magical spot to loot the body.

Portals: Either I have 0 rust world portals at high activity (before 1.20.9) or now I have 3 portals at low activity right on top of each other spawning crap in the middle of the day.

Bears.. bears.. In general they need more personality than murder kill machines. I wish they would go a little more realistic on the bears and have some run from you, some attack until damaged, and then some really are murder kill machines.  Maybe I'm crazy but I feel like in 1.20 they cluster more. I feel like I have multiple bears right on top of each other and I have manually adjusted the spawn rate down.   

Second Boss: HELP it needs help. This is a miserable fight IMO, but it would be nicer if the hit box was better. The hit box is stupid small unless that changed in 1.20.7 onward. I got so frustrated trying to fight the stupid thing and I was just missing with every attack even though it was sitting on top of me. 

I'm sure they have a massive list of other stuff that we can't even see or notice.

Interaction hitboxes on boats, rafts, and elks highlighting when you look at them through blocks or from too far away

Being able to squirm your way into blocks via sitting and standing up

All the random crashes for sure, get on the public server and you’ll likely see a few people crash in chat or experience it while going through a TL

Shivers and animals phasing through blocks

That’s just some of the jank.

Had the same experience to both of them. I had drifters spawn in the tender evening sun, with no rift nearby; I had nights with apocalyptic activity and no rift nor drifter in sight; and my wife disabled temporal stability and rifts altogether and gets a caravan of mangled bodies crossing through each morning, from all sides, as far as the eye can see.

Hitboxes have been a bit janky for me since I started playing around this time last year. But it was only drifters, until bowtorns got added. Those I could not reliably harvest, no matter what I did. And since the last update, its the same for everything, be it animal or eldritch horror. Whatever they did, it didn't quite help.

Inventories on boats/mounts are kinda broken in multiplayer, cause lots of inventory desyncs if multiple people are interacting, for example, when trying to load a boat together.
