  1. As the ConfigLib event highlights, it's kinda important for a foundational feature like this to be provided by the game itself.
  2. I don't know if you can disable this windows "feature" entirely, but you can go through each mod dll file properties and check "unblock".
  3. Thats why I'm talking about an API mods can use to describe their configuration to the game. It would not break any mods any more than any update to the game, the plain text configs will keep working, there would just be a Blessed Way To Do Things That's More User Friendly
  4. It is pretty silly that players have to go into text files and wrangle a zoo of different configuration formats and styles. Due to the fact that mods only get loaded when a world is loaded, mods can not alter the main menu, so this suggestion is something that has to be done on the game's side.
  5. I mean, that would be such a resource investment, you've kinda earned the infinite power at that point
  6. I think what they mean is it would be less than from splitting a log with an axe. That kinda-sorta makes sense, a saw will turn some wood in it's path into sawdust, wile an axe just splits the log along the grain
  7. I would prefer an IDE-agnostic setup being prioritized. Dotnet platform already ships a language server, which any of the editors a Linux user may have a preference for will be able to utilize for completions and diagnostics. Relatedly, some form of a documentation for how to efficiently use attribute trees would be good to have.
  8. Also there is a built-in settings to remove all structures from worldgen and disable stability mechanic. So you can quite literally play the game for a thousand hours and never see any rusted mechanisms.
  9. I've always thought that the logo/icon is way too busy for the way it is used, and the new version only adds more small details.
  10. This is quite literally possible right now. C# supports events at a language level, and through behaviors you have easy injection points to both subscribe and send events.
  11. I think you people are feeding a fat greasy troll here. The guy is obviously just repeating the same non-argument, hoping someone will snap and provide a gratifying reaction.
  12. It literally has a perfectly functional "open to LAN" button in the pause menu, and a dedicated server executable in the game folder.
  13. I think quite the opposite. Want to build? Just plop down your adventuring backpack, pick up your building backpack, and go on building.
  14. And that's why the four backpacks need to get lost! Add baseline "pockets", steal non-storage hotbar idea from Factorio to compensate, add belt pouch slot and a back slot, categorize items into two sizes: small and large. Small items can be placed in any inventory, large items can only be carried in the back slot, either a single stack directly, or however many fit into a carryable container. Boom, a much more immersive inventory system without the annoyance of having both the slot and the weight limit, or having to come up with weight ratings for everything.
  15. Now for some real unpopular opinions I think that the lore is bad and that the player models are hella ugly.
