Why I can't make scrambled eggs?

I started raising chickens in my farm only to realize i can't cook the eggs. At first I thought it was a problem with my first save file, but I'm on my third now and still, no scrambled eggs for me.

I tried to use it in others recipes, but it seems like the game doesn't reconize the eggs as an ingridient...

If anyone knows what is causing this issue and how to fix it, please help! I have so much eggs in my cellar and don't know what to do lol

Welcome to the forums! The recipe should be the first two slots occupied by eggs in the cooking, combined with optional vegetables or cheese. However, this is for the vanilla recipe. If you're using the Expanded Foods mod, you'll need to crack the eggs into a bowl first, then add the liquid egg to the cookpot(0.2 L per serving).

Omg, my brother installed this mod and I didn't connect the dots... Thank you very much!

Hi, no matter what combination of eggs I try to cook, the cooking pot is showing: "No matching recipe found"

I tried:

  • 2 egg + 2 egg
  • 1 egg + 1 egg + 1 egg + 1 egg
  • 1 egg + 1 egg
  • 2 egg + 2 egg + 2 onions
  • 2 egg + 2 egg + 2 onions + 2 carrots
  • 2 egg + 2 egg + 2 onions + 2 lobster mushrooms
  • 4 eggs

Nothing works.  The survival guide is showing recipe for scrambled eggs: 2 to 4 slots of eggs, optional: 2 slots of cheese, 2 slots of vegetable.

I don't have any moods for cooking. What could be wrong? How can I make eggs cooking work?

UPD: Root cause found - after making candles my cooking pot ended up being covered in grime and can no longer be used for cooking. Solution: make a new cooking pot.

The scrambled eggs recipe works for me. Start a completely mod-free test world, switch to creative and test again. "/giveblock firepit-cold" lets you skip the firepit building part.

If it works there, you have conformation that a non-cooking mod is apparently messing with cooking.

I've had similar problems recently - was able to fix it for scrambled eggs by stacking the eggs together before redistributing them; I'm not sure if it was relevant, but they had different spoil times, and stacking them together gave them the same spoil time.

However, I've also had it fail to recognize egg in soup as valid - it was just one bugged egg, others worked fine, and the bug vanished when I stacked that egg with the others. I think it might be a matter of grabbing the egg off the ground versus out of the nest.

I have found out that was the issue in my case. My cooking pot had this in the description: "Residue-covered dark brown ceramic pot" and "Covered in grim, can no longer be used for meal making". I think this happened after I made some candles in it.

I have made a new cooking pot and in the new one scrambled egg recipe works!
