Aldeburin Posted May 3, 2025 Report Posted May 3, 2025 Hey guys, i have server with my friends and dont know if i can update server to the new patch 1.20.9 (or what it is) without it crashing or having problem? Scared for loosing our progress on the server. Thx my dudes and have a great resin run in forest!

Dealman Posted May 4, 2025 Report Posted May 4, 2025 If you're scared of losing progress, then always make a backup beforehand. You should be making backups regularly either way. Download the latest server version, open it with whichever archive extractor you fancy Open the folder where your current server is and delete the assets folder Drag and drop all the contents from the archive you opened onto where your old server is, overwriting all files Your progression should be unaffected because it should be in a different folder That's what I've been doing and it's been working fine.
