Why do Bowtorns not despawn in the morning?

its incredibly annoying to get out in the morning to be immediately harassed by 2 or 3 of them, why are they different to regular drifters which just kind of leave in the morning?

Better than me.  Emerged from a night of mining near mid-day and ran into a welcoming committee of at least 2 DOZEN deep drifters.  I had gambeson armor on and was one hit away from dying in the time it took to type "/gm 2".  Fortunately, THAT issue has fixed since 1.20.2.

Idk, but there are mods modify the behaviour, if you just don't like it.
