the resonance archives library door is still closed?

i put the fuel in the generator and looked around for a bit, noticed the library door was still closed so i cleared out all the other rooms thinking i had to but i looked up a tutorial and apparently they open when you turn the generator on so i had to brake em in creative:/

Nope.  There's two things that need to be done after the engineering room boiler is fired up.  Hint, previously closed doors will open when appropriate tasks are completed.

Welcome to the forums! As @Maelstrom said, the library will only open once the machinery in Engineering is fully operational. Without spoiling too much, the boiler may power the machines, but unless the machines have all the parts they can't open the door.
