1noden Posted May 18, 2025 Report Posted May 18, 2025 Hello! ookay gettin straight to the point. I am using the Ancient Tools mod and several others from the Fauna of the Stone Age mod group. I wanna use the brain tanning feature, but the drops aren't coded in to apply to those modded mobs, so all modded animals are devoid of brains... This kinda sucks because half of the creatures I find are modded by this point. I want to fix this, but I have absolutely NO idea how to make mods. I presumably would need to add the brains to the modded animals drop pool? However, I have no idea where to look, what to add to what, or anything. And if I were to be doing something like this, I would want to make it a mod so other people can use it. Can someone help me with this? Making a patch mod or something? I have a little bit of experience editing Minecraft mod config files, so I'm not entirely clueless I'm mostly looking for a place to start, or maybe even a short 1-on-1 session over VC or something, if that's possible. TLDR: modded animals don't drop brains, how do I make them drop brains ZERO experience with VS modding helb me waurrgh :((( my funny birbs have no brains :sadge: yeh.
