Bones from dead animals

Hi,

exuse me if this would be discussed but I don't find it in the forum.

It would be nice to get the bones from death animals when I killed them for meal or I find them death laying on the ground.

You do. When you butcher a corpse it'll drop some bones, it's just that the amount you get depends on the animal.

Also be aware that when you find animals dead, and you did not kill them, they likely were killed by either another animal (fox, wolf) or from a fall.  In both cases, the drops get nerfed.  This is in order to dis-incentivize things like deadfall traps for production.

Why do the bones not despawn once it's been looted? It seems to me that if you have a bunch of bones laying on the ground you should be able to get bones from it still. Otherwise it seems to make more sense for thee bones to go away.
