merifey Posted June 28, 2025 Report Posted June 28, 2025 Hi! I recently started playing the game and I'm still figuring out how to find or create items I need for my home. Since Survival Mode can be pretty labor-intensive, I’ve been planning things out in a Creative world first—just to get an idea of what materials I’ll need to gather "IRL." In Creative Mode, I was planning to use the "brass block (riveted)" as an accent on a chiseled block. According to the handbook, it seems like I can only get it by breaking a brass block. Does that mean this block isn’t normally craftable or obtainable in Survival without mods? Or is it something I can actually find or make somehow (and if so, where/how would I do that)? Unfortunately, if there is no crafting recipe in the handbook, it's not a craftable item(generally--there are bugs or oversights on occasion). Until a proper recipe is added to the game, you'll need to either get those blocks from creative(you can substitute a recipe from a similar block and just sacrifice necessary materials if you wish), or check the mod database for a mod that adds a proper recipe. 2

Steel General Posted June 29, 2025 Report Posted June 29, 2025 There are still some recipes that aren't in the handbook - metal shields, for example. A little educated guessing will get it done though. In this case, my first guess would be to make a brass block and then put it in the crafting grid to see if that's how alternate forms are produced. I don't have a second guess, though 1
Solution Thorfinn Posted June 29, 2025 Solution Report Posted June 29, 2025 I took a sec to look it up. You are right, @Steel General The recipe is 6 plates -- 3 wide, 2 high, just like packed earth. Pretty darned expensive, but that's what it is. 1
