Asking Traders To Spend The Night

Basically what the title says! Not sure if traders are even "codable" but may be a project ill look into

as things are noe you can go to a traders wagon and just sleep in their bed if you find yourself there at night. My idea gives the Trader a conversation option where you ask "Can I spend the Night?" and when you wake up there is a "Thank You" option.

Just seems like the polite path to take. This is totally just personal preference, hence why I'm suggesting it be a mod haha

I agree with you on this. It was the same with that other block game as well; walking into that village and just. Modifying everything like I owned the place.

I think Vintage Story traders should give you a "what the hell, man?" dialogue and kick you out of their bed when you enter it without asking. It's their bed after all, not yours.

I like the idea, but...if I were a trader, I would 100% be doing my best Moneybags impression and charging players a small fee for a safe place to spend the night.

oooo maybe if a trader has a "Greedy" trait they'll make the player pay for a night. At that point the player has to way their options. Make your own bed with materials on hand (if you do), trek the night in search of another trader who is nicer, or run all the way back home LOL

I made a forum post about  it myself- I am really interested if anyone knows how to add / change dialogue on traders... I was obsessed with chocolatequest before and loved making maps with quests and dialogue and stories and stuff. I would love to make more in vintage story but not sure where to start on that.
