Bryan Burkhardt Posted July 17, 2025 Report Posted July 17, 2025 1.I am at medium settings and wondering why my CPU is ranging 75-85C? These are my temps when playing Star Citizen lol. It would be nice to know what setting is cooking my CPU. 2. Can I destroy items? I throw them on the ground but keep picking them up. 3. is there a way to move any box I want around on my screen? I would like the item I am looking at info displayed around the center screen instead of way at the top. I have a big monitor.
Thorfinn Posted July 17, 2025 Report Posted July 17, 2025 Welcome to the forums, @Bryan Burkhardt 1. Most of the settings have to do with GPU. 2. Not really, but you can throw them away (Ctrl-Q to throw the stack) and they will despawn in 10 minutes at defaults. 3. Yeah, the other clickable box at the top right of the window converts that to "Moveable."
wildforester Posted July 17, 2025 Report Posted July 17, 2025 I don’t believe the block tooltip can be moved, there may be a mod for it. As for your cpu/gpu check your settings to see if the fps is uncapped (wasting energy/heating cpu) and use occlusion culling, then lower unnoticeable settings

Further on the temperature, as I'm in the same boat as OP with my computer cooking itself. See Settings, Graphics for the big culprits. The easy fix is to go to the Quality Preset and try something significantly lower, and observe the results. Then move things up notches. By choosing a lower setting, you'll see what is checked off or lowered by default. Most of the Tool Tips are accurate in their performance hit. Use a tool such as "NZXT CAM" if you don't have a display for temperature, and it will give it to you on screen in real time. https://nzxt.com/en-intl/pages/cam Oh, and for the record, I have more "shiny" things on than my computer should reasonably be expected to handle, because you want to enjoy the game visuals, right? Right? I should be fair to it and knock it down a bit though. Professor Dragon. Edited July 20, 2025 by Professor Dragon 1
