Fiishe Posted July 22, 2025 Report Posted July 22, 2025 Because this game is absolutely beautiful, and the community so talented, I've maxed out the mb's i can upload with a series of cinematic (hopefully) photos from my trip. There are SO MANY things i wish i could include here but didn't, the server was incredible This bridge is the build that made me want to start taking pictures skybox appreciation post the entire server had extensive signage everywhere, one of the most common chisel creations i saw around i stood in front of this 7/11 for so long to get the right lighting lmao i became obsessed with these apartments, took more pictures of these than anything else, super liminal n scary (with the right filters ofc, its a very charming build in the daylight) oh crap Ok that's all, thanks, bye 10 3 1
Maelstrom Posted July 22, 2025 Report Posted July 22, 2025 Love that wonderful message: "Congratulations! you died." The snarky announcement still tickles me even after playing for over 4 years. 3 3
Gapplepie1985 Posted May 6 Report Posted May 6 this makes me want to get on TOPS again but it's so hard to get away from spawn ;_;

It took about 6 months of buying property and getting passageway allowed to finally build a single path to exit the spawn city. I quit playing the server after completing my mission, and many months later returned to see what had become of my project and my home. The rules of that server dictated that my land return to public use as I had not logged in for so long. While my personal property had become abandoned/absorbed back into the city, the road remained as a multitude of “admin claims”. Turned out there had been a server wide plea to save the infrastructure. This is the most tempting thing about playing VS online, and the reason I am scared to do so… it’s more time investment than I feel I have to give.

THREE (3) IRL HOURS BEFORE THE CULLING ACCIDENT... logged back in when the server was back up again, hit 'esc' thinking i was pausing the game, and lost everything :'D ahhh the joys of TOPS. (by 'everything' i mean full gambeson armor and a good amount of supplies provided by vak) Edited June 3 by Gapplepie1985

BurgerDaddy Posted June 3 Report Posted June 3 That is what I have come to believe in my short time here.

It's kind of a term of endearment since this, the most blessed block game, has it's roots in that game. Tyron made the VintageCraft mod for TOBG and eventually left that game for a brief stint on Hytale then started development of This most blessed block game (amen) in 2016. There's also a few easter eggs pointing back to TOBG, one of which is exceedingly rare, the other not quite as rare; another is one track in the VS soundtrack.
