InvertedTriangle Posted July 24, 2025 Report Posted July 24, 2025 As far as I know residue covered pots are nasty for ever, with no way of fixing it. This isn't really a huge issue and yet I would love to see the player being able to wash the pot with soap and water. Maybe you would full the pot full of water and let it boil for a bit (to make stuff that doesn't want to come off be looser), and then in the crafting grid you could craft it with soap to make it a soapy pot. Then you would rinse it off by chunking it in a pond or something. Â That's all, thanks!
Facethief Posted July 24, 2025 Report Posted July 24, 2025 I mean… while it’s a cool idea, (I’d make the way to clean pots a soak in some lye, but that’s just me) pots aren’t that expensive, and you’re probably not making enough meals to need more than one pot (or at least I’m not). It would, however, be a good way to lower the commitment on making… candles… for those who are unaware of this feature.

Like class based recipes. And with just a server of 4 people I have 3 pots, two ovens and most of my day is still entirely taken up by farming and cooking. As to op I kinda like the one and done of the pots. It also let's them generate as loot while being less valuable.  Â
Never Jhonsen Posted July 25, 2025 Report Posted July 25, 2025 With all due respect, I would not trust eating out of a clay pot after it's had Sulfuric Acid cooked inside of it Beeswax isn't as intense, but grouping it with Sulfuric Acid is a better design choice than making three different cooking pot states. You either have your food grade cooking pot, or your NOT food grade cooking pot.
Dilan Rona Posted July 25, 2025 Report Posted July 25, 2025 (edited) Well there is a mod that adds soap, that can deal with the residue covered pots. Have it installed currently, keep forgetting to test it out though. https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/25902 Edited July 25, 2025 by Dilan Rona
Thorfinn Posted July 25, 2025 Report Posted July 25, 2025 Personally, if it were worth the effort, I'd just mod it to be able to run them back through the kiln and burn the residue out of them.
