Updated to 1.21.12. But inside game says it is still 1.21.0? How can I fix this?

I have tried to upgrade 1.21.0 to 1.21.12 every method I know.  But client still shows 1.21.0 at the bottom.

 

I am on KDE Neon. Normally when an update comes to KDE Neon it can be  found in Discover and allows you to update it from there.  Updates include regular packages, flatpaks, snap packages.  This works with Vintage Story and normally I have no issues.  There are times when some new apps don't get updated till they see a new version.  I think this may be  what is where we are at.  This can sometimes take a little time.

That is not the only way to get the new stable or unstable.  It can also be retrieved by updating it through flatpak directly.  Like you have in how to do this in your wiki/doc's.  Which I also went through.

• Stable release:
  flatpak --user install https://flatpak.vintagestory.at/VintageStory.flatpakref

 

Looks like installing works.  Even uninstalling then installing, it seems like the new update worked.   Unfortunately.  after installing the flatpak via Discovery or flatpak via CLI  I still get the following Title screen with 1.21.0 version.

When I try to run a single player saved game I get the following

See second image -  (for some reason it is acting like an older version I think)

Tells me a different version of mod "wgmt"

If you have any thoughts about more info that could help me get an answer please let me know. Thx

The flatpak is currently not updated to 1.21 yet, it's still on 1.20.12. I'm not sure how you're getting v1.21.0, but I would guess that that's related to the problem.

1.21.0 (stable) is the most current version available.   It was available yesterday.

going to 1.20.12 would actually be a downgrade.

Okay.  Thanks Diff and Maelstrom for your reply.  I got my versions mixed up for some reason. 

The upgrade issue was totally me... I thought I was on 1.21.0, upgrading to 1.21.12.  But it was actually 1.20.12 and I was upgrading to 1.21.0.

Glad the version is correct.  Now the only question, if you could look at the second picture.  Can you help me know why when I am loading a saved game and getting the following "Game Start Required" "A different version of mod "wgmt" was loaded already.  Changing mod version requires a restart."

I have shutdown the game and then tried to reload game again and start the saved game again and get the same issue.  Not sure how to fix this issue.

Any thoughts?

Okay. Never mind.  I figured it out.

For others that have this happen.  It is an error from "Wanda's Gizmos (Code) - grappling hoooook" mod.  I turned off that mod and I not longer get the error.

Hope this will help someone else.
