Ability to harvest glow worms and a couple of other suggestions

First post here so apologies if its not titled/formatted correctly.

Self explanatory. They look cool as hell and they're also available in creative. I think they'd be really neat.

 

Another suggestion is maybe glowing fungi? Think it would look really nice in some kind of mossy cave.

Another one is changing the sound of the hyenas and their cubs to more realistic noises as it'd help differentiate them from wolves a little more.

Final suggestion is lizards, not for any particular reason. I just think they're neat.

I think you should be able to harvest the glow worms and use them to create the glowing blocks that are only in creative mode. I would really love the ability to chisel glowing letters, signs, art, etc in survival mode.

If you guys don't mind using mods: A while ago somebody requested this exact feature to be included in a mod I created for that user.

As the description suggest, this mod was created for creative builders in a Survival setting, which means that the recipes are quite cheap. The "Ingredient for" section only includes the basic colours. The subsequent coloured ones can be crafted with those basics.

Not quite the same thing, but I really like Cave Beacons, which just got an upgrade to 1.21. That might be the last thing I needed before upgrading my main game.

That is a cool looking mod. Typically I just try to mark routes with charcoal or lime...except I forget to actually bring marking materials most of the time.

Yes, I've been using cave art to track my way through caves, and particularly to mark them with an X when I know I'm done with them. But the beacons are really fun, and they're great for caves with wide open spaces. Practical and cool to look at.

Wish the glow worms were a bit more common, or able to generate and grow similar to vines do on trees and such, they're such a cool thing to see but I've only come across 3 or 4 locations in almost 500 hours of play.

I saw the real thing in New Zealand some years ago in the ceiling of a cave river, needless to say they're not as bright in real life, their luminance more resemblance stars in the nightsky. However I love the rendition in-game and wouldn't want it changed.
