JaceAurelius Posted September 25, 2025 Report Posted September 25, 2025 I've noticed a lot of people have created Race's as classes. To me, that does make a little sense but not much. With the Player Mode Library mod with it's current multiple 'race' support, you could make a race, and still have a class. It would definitely make for more diversity. Choose a race, then appearance, then you choose a class. Makes it more of an MMORPG that way. Or is it just me thinking this?

I'm thinking it's just easier to treat races as character classes, rather than trying to figure out the code for making race an entirely separate category to class. The latter route would allow for more depth, but is more work.
Mozzie_GWG Posted October 15, 2025 Report Posted October 15, 2025 @JaceAurelius i think you're correct about people creating mods for races and classes. I currently am working on my own such items. But that seems to be the nice part of this game. They gave us a framework to mess with, and now it is tailored to what that individual wants, or if sharing the mod.. others wants too then. Part of what currently has me hooked. Now that i did a THING and updated a bed spawn mod to work in the 1.21.4. >> Overall it does give something to do outside of the daily survival. Like oh crap i have to chop down trees or grandma freezes, now the question of am i a terrible person who is already surviving. So gives the user extra options that they don't have to have or even acknowledge.
