Do u practice religion in vintage story.I am mostly interested in native, born out of vs but it can be a irl in vs too.I think because of the better ruins I am seeing monuments.A statue of a human?cross,a sword stuck to the ground etc..Its almost like they r inviting me to do a pilgrimage. I tought abt collecting them and erecting them in my base but maybe they are better at where they are ?

Do u have any rituals that you do ? Maybe a room for a praying or churches.I am an atheist myself but I think, especially in early tech ages player character would have metaphysical beliefs.Especially the mother nature and father sun type of belief.

I can't speak for others but I prefer to keep my religion separate from my gaming. I don't stop being religious when I play games, but I don't enjoy seeing parody of things I hold sacred.

I tend to light fire to much of the world... so I guess I'm practicing a nature religion and put fire elementals on a pedestal.  ;)

In the spirit of your question, I should start building some form of alters to fire.   Hmmm, could be fun.

Well, there's a kind of spirituality to the lore when you start to learn about what a seraph is. And there are ruins of grand churches scattered across the landscape.

I'm usually roleplaying in my head a little bit in a game like this, but with VS more than most, I'm roleplaying as myself because the world feels so immersive to me. So the spirituality I feel is more horror and sadness for the civilization that fell and unease about the rust world.

Personally, I like to make little shrines on occasion. Sometimes based on IRL religions (my own Christian faith, Zoroastrianism, or maybe others if playing with friends of other faiths) or an invented one based on the game lore. I think little hints are good, like the ruins of temples/churches.

I had a minor miracle the other day. I went to take some cuttings from a cherry tree, after picking all the cherries. Didn't want to damage it too much, so I only took the three lowest of a nice, full productive tree. I finish my cutting the third low branch, and I noticed some cherries I somehow missed picking. I go to pick them and realize the three branches I had just cut regrew seconds after I cut them.

I mean, we know branches regrow, but I have no idea how or when the code triggers it. I presume it's just a random tick, and if so, the miracle was that the tick happened just as I was finished taking the cuttings.

So I might build a small shrine and treat that as a sacred cherry tree.

Any time a relic (mainly wearables, like the Rosary) associated with Judeo-Christian religion appears in ruins, I always equip it on my character.
Considering what the Seraphs are, or perhaps I should say were, I imagine a symbol of the old faith would be heavily meaningful to them. I sometimes add a little story along with it as well, thinking of their response to finding a piece of their faith as it stood before the world's shifting.
